Alec POV
After we'd eaten and were all full we headed off. I looked at Magnus with an unsure look and he just nodded and we kept going.

After walking for about 10 minutes we got to the cemetery.

"Is this where mommy is?" Emma asked pulling on my arm

"Yeah sweetie mommy's here"

We walked over to where I haven't visited in 3 years, I couldn't come back the first time was enough for me.

"Daddy who's that lady?" Matt asked pointing at something and when I looked up I saw that someone was bending down placing some flowers by Lydia's grave. When we got closer I realised who it was and started regretting coming here.

"Mary?" I said unsure of what to say

She turned her head and looked up at us shocked at what she saw

"Alec, what are you doing here?" She asked getting up on her feet

"We uh-came to see Lydia" I told her putting both my hands on the twins shoulders

"Daddy who's this?" Matt asked again

It looked like Mary had a tear forming in her eyes

"Are you Okay?" Magnus asked her

"Yeah I'm good it's just they look so much like her" she said

I didn't know what to say to that except smile. I mean what did she expect she told me that she didn't wanna be apart of the twins' lives, she even said she has no interest in what I named them. She said they were an abomination that killed her daughter, she doesn't deserve to be in their lives after all she said.

"What's their names?" She asked smiling

"So now you wanna know, after all these years after what you said and now you wanna know" I yelled but not too loudly to not scare to not scare the twins

"Alec look honey I didn't mean those things I said 3 years ago, I was grieving, I wasn't thinking about what I was saying I'm so sorry" she said

"But you did, and you can't take it back, I am not gonna let the women who kicked her daughter out for being pregnant, and calling my kids an abomination into their lives just because of an apology" I said

"Papa why is daddy angry with the lady?" Emma asked Magnus

"Daddy's just tired honey don't worry" Magnus told her

"Look I have no intention of making you angry all I want is to be apart of my grand babies lives" she said

"Last time I checked you told me to keep them out of your life" I said

"That was then you don't know how much I regret saying that, but Frank made me say those things I had no choice"

"Seriously that's the best excuse you could come up with, anyways even if it was the truth everything you said seemed real" I said

"I was upset my daughter had just died and I didn't get to say goodbye"

"I've had enough we came here so our children" I said directing to me and Magnus "could come say hello to their mother now excuse us" I said as we walked past her to Lydia's grave

"Can I at least get to know their names, please" she begged

I bit my tongue looking back at her not knowing if I should tell her or not. I looked at Magnus and he nodded just like he did at the cafe.

"Matt and Emma" I told her and she smiled and turned around and left.

"God I hate her" I said

"Hey" Magnus said and I looked at him "she's gone, it's just us, like it always will be, it's perfect"

"I love you, you know that" I told him cause I really do, so much.

"I know, I love you too"

We both looked at each other before we remembered why we came here. We both led the twins to where the grave is.

"This is where mommy is guys" I said getting on my knee wrapping my arms around their sides pulling them closer.

"Daddy?"

"Yes honey?"

"Was mommy hurting when she had to leave?" She asked

"No honey, and you know why" they didn't say anything but shake their heads "Well because all she had to do was look at the both of you and she would smile, she was so happy, and she loved you two so, so much, just like me and Papa does" I told them and Magnus bent down next to us

"And as long as you both are here me and Daddy will always love you both, and we aren't going anywhere, we are always gonna be by your side" Magnus said smiling at them and then he looked at me and gave me that look saying that same goes for me

"Me too" I whispered to him
