Chapter 9

Seliel, Skylor and Nya stayed out the whole night, worried for the three boys inside. They were sleeping on each other's legs, when suddenly the doors opened and woke them up. The two stand, eager to see the boys on the other side. For their disappointment, there wasn't anyone

"I told you they are not gonna make it"Skylor said, trying to hold back tears, then she and Seliel started walking away, but Nya stayed. She couldn't believe it. They were gone. She looked down trying to hold back her tears. Suddenly, she heard groans and someone talking

"C'mon Jay. Just some more and we will see the Glade"Nya momentally recognized the voice. She turned to Seliel and Skylor

"Sel! Sky! Come here! They are alive!"Nya yelled and turned again. She saw Jay and Cole dragging Kai, who was still unconscious. Seliel and Skylor ran back to Nya, trying to hold back tears of joy

"Nya, c'mon! Let's go to help them!"Seliel yelled and Nya nodded. The two ran inside and to the boys

"Guys, give him to us"Nya said

"It's okay Nya"Cole said panting

"It's obviously not Cole. Give him to us"Seliel said

"Fine"Cole said and Nya and Seliel took Kai from the guys and started walking out of the Maze. Jay and Cole coming slowly after them. They went to the Med-Jack hut and put Kai there. Skylor gave him the serum and checked the guys. They were okay, just needed some time to rest. Seliel and Cole went to the Homestead, while Nya dragged Jay into the Deadheads to their spot. When they arrived, Nya hit him in the stomach

"You shuck face! You made me so worried!"Nya yelled at him, then hugged him and started crying in his chest"I am glad you are alive"Nya sobbed. Jay wrapped his hands around her, protectively and tightly. She hugged him tighter too

"I am sorry for scaring you, Nya"Jay whispered in her ear. She nodded, not wanting to move from him. She felt something familiar to that. And she liked it. She knew she liked him from a day or two now, but she knew he didn't liked her

Jay smiled in her hair. He knows that before the Maze, they were a couple and he still have the same feelings. After his dream, he knew that he came here to save her and be back with her. Even if he doesn't remember anything more, only this memory, where they take her away, was enough for him. He knew he like her even before that memory popped up. He swore to himself that he will protect her from everything that may hurt her. He felt her starting to calm down. He decided to sit down and put her in his lab. That's what he did. Nya giggled a little, then snuggled closer to him

"I-I wanna tell you something Nya"Jay said after a while

"What?"Nya asked looking at him

"I-I....ummmm...."Jay said"You know what? Never mind, it's stupid anyways"Jay said shaking his head

"You can tell me anything Jay. It's okay, I won't tell anyone"Nya said and Jay looked at her, then sighed

"Okay ummm...there's that girl that I like and I don't know if she likes me back"Jay said"I am afraid that if I tell her, I will screw everything up"Jay said Nya frowned

"Oh, well, I bet whoever she is, is lucky"Nya said and started to get up. Jay got up too and looked at her blue eyes

"I wanna tell you something more"Jay said

"What?"Nya asked again and instead of answering, Jay pressed his lips against hers. Nya was shocked for a moment, then started kissing him back. His hands found their way to her waist and hers on his chest

"Look what we have here"a female voice said. Nya and Jay separated to see Seliel and Cole, smirking at them. Jay and Nya blushed and backed from each other

"Ummm...we-"

"No need for explanations now, Nya"Cole cut her off"Jay, you have to come with me. Lloyd called gathering and you are the subject this time"Cole said and Jay nod

"Okay..."he said and leaned to Nya's ear"We are gonna talk about this later, okay?"Jay asked and Nya nodded, then the two boys walked away, leaving Nya and Seliel in the deadheads. Nya blushing madly. Seliel walked to her red friend and wrapped a hand around her shoulders

"I think Cole was wrong. You do need to explain"Seliel said and Nya chuckled

"Okay..."Nya said and started telling her what happened. At the end of her short story, Seliel chuckled and smiled

"Well, now at least I know I won the bet"Seliel said

"What bet?"Nya asked looking at her suspiciously

"Well..."Seliel said nervously"Me and Cole made a bet that you will become a couple. I said you would and he said you won't. Now he has to give me his machete!"Seliel said rising her hands in victory

"You made bets on my relationships!?"Nya yelled not amused"And you were supposed to be my best friend!"

"I still am"Seliel giggled"But that doesn't mean that I can't make bets!"

"Huh, well then, I made bet with Kai that you and Cole will be a couple!"Nya said sticking her tongue out

"Really?"Seliel asked smiling, dazing off

"Uffff...why did I said it!"Nya said standing and staring to walk away. Seliel shook her head and saw Nya leaving

"Hey! Wait for me!"Seliel yelled and ran after her bestie
