The Ninjago Runner

Chapter 11

Suddenly, one of the buildings explodes and collapses, falling right towards the one Nya was in. She looked at Jay's eyes, ready to take her destiny.

Jay locked eyes with Nya for a second, then saw the building collapse right on top of the one Nya was on. He was too weak to help her. He can't save her.

"Not today, sis"Kai yelled, almost jumping from the berg. He caught her hands right before the ground beneath her falls and she was left handing on her brother's arms. The others fast pulled Kai inside, along with his sister. She wrapped her arms around Kai, happy to be in his embrace once again.

Once Jay saw Nya was okay and in the arms of her brother, he relaxed and let the darkness overcome him.

Jay woke up from the light. He was in a tent, in a bed, but didn't recognize it. He got up and noticed he was also in different clothes. Hold long has he been out? He got up and put on shoes, which were standing right next to his bed and he assumed were for him. Once was was ready, he walked out and the first thing he saw was the beach. We made it, he thought. We are in the save heaven.

"Hey Jay! You are up!"Cole's voice rang though his ears. Jay turned towards the voice to see Cole and Lloyd approaching him.

Lloyd looked a lot better. He wasn't sweating and there weren't any of the black veins. He wasn't infected anymore. He was cured.

"Nice to see you too, mate."Jay said and hugged his - possibly - best friend. When they separated, he looked at Lloyd.

"You feeling better?"Jay asked.

"I feel like I am in paradise - which I actually am - but that's not the point."Lloyd explained him.

"Yeah, Nya cured him yesterday and since then distanced herself from us. You should go talk to her."Cole said and Jay nodded.

"Any ideas where she is?"Jay asked.

"The beach. Sitting there from the morning."Lloyd said. Jay nodded him a thanks and walked to the beach. He saw the raven haired girl sitting there, new and clean clothes on her. She was hugging her legs and looking at the water. Jay walked to her and sat down.

Nya jumped a little when someone sat next to her, but once she saw it was Jay, she jumped on him.

"You are awake!"Nya exclaimed, making Jay fall on the sand with her hugging him.

"Mhm. How are you feeling? You were..."he said, not wanting to say out loud that his girlfriend - or whatever they were right now - was going to die in front of his eyes, just to save him.

"I am okay, Kai saved me."Nya said.

"Why didn't you jump? Did you- did you want to die?"Jay asked and Nya sighed. She sat back up and Jay did she same.

"I just feel like I betrayed you for real. You all thought I did."Nya said, not daring to look his his blue eyes.

"Yes, and we were stupid for that. I am sorry we made you feel that way, but just forget it now. We are paradise, safe heaven. We are free now. No WICKED, no Janson, no cranks and no serpentines. We are free."Jay explained to her and Nya looked in his eyes.

"You are right."Nya said, nodding."And umm...what about us?"Nya asked.

"What do you mean?"Jay asked, confused.

"What are we?"Nya asked. Jay, without hesitation put his lips on hers and she wasted no time in returning the kiss. After a while, the two separated and looked at each other's eyes.

"Does that answer your question?"Jay asked and Nya smiled.

"Pretty much."she said and Jay smiled, giving her a peck on the lips, then getting up."Now, c'mon, the others said you distanced yourself from them, so I guess you didn't eat with them either."Jay said and Nya nodded. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and she wrapped her own around his torso. Like that, the two walked to their friends and the food.

"We will celebrate tonight, because we finally made it! We made it to the save heaven!"Vince said, rising his cup into the air, the air itself filled with cheers from the kids."Now, to have a minute for these who couldn't make it to here. Who helped us come to this point. The paradise may be for us, but this-"Vince said and pointed at a rock behind him."-this is for them. You can take your own time and honor the people you lost."Vince said and everyone then started doing their own things. Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Lloyd sat together with their drinks-Morro's special recipe.

"I didn't know I will say that, but I missed this stuff."Cole said, taking a sip from his drink.

"I didn't."Lloyd said, comfortable with his cup of water.

"Can you believe that we made it to paradise?"Kai asked.

"I can't. I thought we will die in the Maze."Zane commented.

"Well, we made it. We are free."Jay said."Now we can start our lives, again and free this time."Jay said and everyone nodded, momentally looking at the group and five girls, sitting not so far from them, smiling and laughing like crazy, talking with Isabell and Harriet from group B.

"I feel like our new lives already began. Today."Cole commented and the others nodded.

"Then, let's enjoy it as much as possible."Jay said and lifted his cup."Cheers for paradise."he said.

"Cheers."everyone said and bumped their cups together, taking a sip. Jay took one last look at Nya, who noticed him staring. Yeah, that will be Paradise.

Oh my god. I can't believe I finished it😭😭. That was like, my most enjoyable book to write, even though I screwed it from the beginning. I was writing for two of my most favorite things and it ended. I really hope you enjoyed that book and sorry for the crappy ending, really. Also, thank you guys so much for the support on this and all my other books. It means a lot to me, really.

Since I finished this one(😭😭) I will now focus on 'The Masters of Elements' and 'Tangled'. Hope you enjoy them too. See ya guys.
