Okay my chapters so far have been ridiculously short so i merged some of my chapters together so this one is longer and the rest are going to be longer. Hope anyone who's been reading so far is enjoying this, its my first fanfic so please comment to let me know how I'm doing. Megan xx

Twenty minutes later we arrived at Sarah’s it was spot on four and there was only three and a half hours before I would see my favourite band for the first time. I thanked my mum for the lift and told her I’d be back home tomorrow because I was staying at Sarah’s tonight., staying at Sarah's was the best! Her mum didn't care if we made loads of noise and ate loads of junk food, I was thankful I was staying it would cheer me up. I walked up to the front door, her house was massive, I got to the massive arched front door about to knock when the door swung open making me scream, “OMG!! Kate you cannot begin to believe how excited I am right now!” she was jumping up and down and dragging me inside, I started jumping up and down too my excitement finally kicking in. “Trust me I can believe it because im that excited too!” I screeched and dumped my overnight bag in her huge bedroom that had walls covered in band posters (just like my room) “You look amazing Kate shame Jamie’s not here to see you! Coz you look hawwt!" She winked making me feel emotional again, i forced myself not to cry, Sarah can't know about it yet i don't want to ruin her night i thought. "So are you ready to go then?" "I'm always ready for You Me At Six, S, i'm one hundred percent ready!"

Sarah grabbed here keys, phone and purse before we ran to her car. I wish I had a car, I thought, I could go everywhere. We set off for Brixton academy with Take Off Your Colours blaring from the car stereo, “OMG! I'm going to be breathing the same air as Josh Franceschi…WOW!” Sarah shouted over the music, we both started giggling, I was so glad I had somebody who shared my passion of music. Throughout high school people had always made rude comments about my choice of music luckily when I started sixth form I met Sarah who liked the same bands. “S, you always breathe the same air as Josh” “Wow OMG I do don’t I? How amazing is that, so that means you must breathe the same air as the gorgeous Dan Flint. Not that you should care since your all loved up with the equally gorgeous Jamie” Dan Flint was gorgeous that was definitely true but I wished me being 'loved up' with Jamie was still true. I wanted to tell her that Jamie had broken up with me but I couldn’t bring myself to resurface those feelings, it hurt too bad. I channeled my thoughts towards the You Me At Six drummer instead, his perfect jaw line; his beautifully toned torso and his amazing hair, why couldn’t all guys be perfect like him? I bet he’s a dickhead just like the rest of them, I thought. “Its still good to know we share air though, but as you pointed out I have Jamie.” I lied, fighting my tears I forced myself to smile.

Soon after we arrived at the venue, I checked my make up and hair before getting out of the car. “Stop looking in the mirror, you look perfection tonight Kate,” “Thanks S, you look way better,” I was happy that despite everything my confidence was intact. “I wish, ha-ha this queue is unreal” I looked at the queue realising it was a massive snake winding round the venue, we joined the back of the queue. The doors opened at seven o’clock and I couldn’t wait, I hadn’t been to a gig for ages. Gigs are basically my life it would be impossible to count how many I've been to. Amazingly Sarah and I managed to squeeze right to the front so we could rest on the barrier. Being right at the front would mean we would be the closest to the bands but I still wished I could be even closer to them.
