Hey Guys! I would have uploaded yesterday but Wattpad had obviously been on the vino on Friday night so it had a 'Hangover' didn't know computers could have them lol :s Soooo I hope you enjoy this chapter (I really like this one) Thanks to my readers and as usual more comments would be fab! Also I've been thinking about where i'm gonna go with this story and there'll probably be a sequel but no promises just yet

It was two in the morning when we called a cab to take us home from the club. We were stood outside in the cool air with Jem and Matt as we waited for it to arrive, I wore Dan’s jacket again and had to stop myself from burying my face in its scent. A cab stopped on the kerb beside us, “Barnes,” the driver called from the rolled down window. “That’s us!” smiled Matt giving the driver a small wave. “See you soon, nice to see you again Kate,” he smiled giving me and Dan a hug (a ‘bro’ hug to Dan) before opening the door of the car. Suddenly I was being encompassed in a death hug from Jem, “Bye Woody,” she grinned using my nickname before whispering in my ear, “Dan likes you I can tell and I can tell you like him so… Get… In…There,” her breath tickled my ear making me giggle I nodded and gave her another hug. “Bye Jemmy!” They both got in the cab grinning at each other, they were the perfect couple.

Their departure left me and Dan stood awkwardly together, unsure what to say to each other after what happened in the club, I wanted to pull him towards me and feel his warmth. We would sort this out as soon as we got in, I told myself, he’d kissed me too he must obviously feel the same. I raised my eyes from the pavement to see him gazing over at me, I felt myself blush as I met his blue eyed gaze. He pushed his hand through his hair in what seemed like frustration- why would he be frustrated? I never got to find out because the cab arrived, “Flint?” the driver asked; Dan nodded and opened the door for me. “Ladies first,” he smiled gently and I thanked him.

It took us half an hour to get back to his flat, a half hour that was spent in silence. Except from the driver telling asking us if it was a nice area to live in and Dan explaining how it was and that there was a golf course half a mile up the road. Dan paid the driver and we made our way inside the apartment. Once we were inside he immediately walked into the lounge, he stood next to the coffee table his back facing me. No one said anything for what felt like hours but by the time on the clock it had only be three minutes. “Daniel,” I whispered eventually, finding my confidence again; he turned round his blue eyes looked conflicted. I closed the distance between us, my eyes never leaving his; he seemed to relax a little. Slowly I reached my hand to his face, stroking it lightly with my thumb, he leaned into my hand and closed his eyes. We both let out a long breath we’d both been holding, like we were breathing as one. His eyes opened and he gave me a small, barely there smile, I could tell he was nervous. “Kate, I really, really like you… A lot and I know it’s too soon for you to think about being with anyone else but I just want you to know that when you’re ready and if you think I’m good enough for you, I’ll be waiting for you,” he said in a rush, he was still smiling down at me but his eyes held pain. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him towards me so he was at my level, I kissed the corner of his mouth before moving to his neck and collar bone. I grinned up at his bewildered expression, he slowly wrapped his arms around my waist. “Dan, I like you a lot too and I tried to ignore it at first, because I’m not ready for anyone yet, for anyone but you, It was more painful to imagine not being with you. You’re all I want.” I sighed looking at his chest, I was nervous now, one of his hands cupped my face bringing me to look at him sending a rush of fire up my cheek. I was smiling as if he’d just won the lottery, I grinned back I felt like I’d won one million pounds too.

His lips crashed down on mine, our lips fit perfectly, moving in sync with each other. He traced my bottom lip with his tongue, I parted my lips allowing him to explore, the kiss deepened becoming more passionate. I couldn’t think of anything but Dan as fiery heat shivered under my skin, I felt like I was glowing. Slowly he pulled away, planting a tiny kiss on my lips after the kiss ended. His face lit up with goofy smile. “Wow,” I whispered leaning into his chest, my head resting in the crook of his neck.

He kissed my forehead before finally speaking, “Kate, that was perfect, I’m so happy you feel the same, I don’t know what I would do if you didn’t.” I pressed my lips against his neck and sighed I wanted to hold on to this moment forever. “I’m glad you like me like that too, that was the best kiss I’ve ever had- no lie,” I whispered into his neck. “Really?” he asked surprise thick in his voice, I simply nodded in reply. He led me to the sofa where I sat curled up against him, my head on his chest soaking in his body heat. “It was the best kiss I’ve had to, it was amazing, you’re beautiful” he grinned his face buried in my hair, “So K-Kate…” he stuttered, it was so cute when he stuttered, “Will you be my girlfriend?” he asked making my heart warm, like he needed to ask. “A million times yes,” I beamed twisting round to kiss his lips.

He met me half way, his lips meeting mine with urgency causing butterflies to flutter throughout my body. His hands were tangled in my hair as my own tugged at his. Our kiss was even better than before, deeper, longer and more passionate like two people who had suddenly found an oasis in the desert. I gasped which made him smile against my lips, I could never get enough of kissing him. Slowly we parted, gasping for air; smiles plastered across our faces. He shook his head and pulled me to lie beside him on the sofa, we lay there spooning and listening to nothing but each other breathe. I fell asleep grinning like an idiot, this was the happiest I’d ever been.

I lay holding her tightly in my arms, my body moulding hers, I could hear that she was asleep from the way her breathing had slowed. I thought about our kisses, two of the most perfect moments in my life so far and I was sure we would share more. My skin still tingled from the heat kissing her had caused. I wanted to feel her lips against mine and to knot my hands in her hair again as we explored each others mouths, but she was sleeping and I wouldn’t wake her. I nuzzled her hair, inhaling the scent that I would recognise anywhere but it only belonged to her. I felt my eyes become heavy, I needed sleep, even though I couldn’t have been happier spooning with Kate the sofa was too small for us to both comfortably lie on. I hated the thought of leaving her so I gently scooped my girlfriend into my arms and carried her into my room. I set her down against one of the pillows on my double bed, I took off my jeans and changed into a thin T-shirt before cuddling up beside her feeling instantly more comfortable. “Goodnight beautiful,” I whispered before slowly drifting off to sleep with a smile on my face, I don’t think I’d ever been so happy
