~Dan~

The speakers blasted down on us in the dimly lit room that had been set aside as the dance floor at the party. I was content with Kate in my arms as she moved her body with mine, the occasional caress of her lips on mine or against my neck were a reminder that she was all mine. My sister, Amy, had even doubted that, she hadn't been able to understand how someone as beautiful as Kate had chosen me. Amy had always been protective of me, her 'baby brother', since Maria broke my heart but I knew that once she got to know Kate she would back off. The Killers thundered out of the speakers and the room burst into life at the sound of Mr Brightside:

I'm coming out of my cage

And I’ve been doing just fine

It started out with a kiss

I'd just started to get into the music, I could tell Kate liked this song too, when a piercing voice broke us away from the music, "What the fuck do you think you're doing here?" I whipped my head round to figure who's voice it was, but I already knew who I would see, I'd know that voice anywhere. "Maria, I could ask you the same question," I retorted my words soaked in hatred. "I wasn't asking you, I was asking your little slut," she grinned and nodded in the direction of Kate. "Kate can be here if she wants, it's not your party," there was no way she was going to start having a go at Kate. "Well it's my boyfriends party and if I tell him she's here he'll kick the little bitch out," she snarled. "What did you call me?" Kate asked, which surprised me, she stepped closer so she was facing Maria. "I said you're a little bitch, I didn't know you were stupid too," Maria said in a fake nice girl voice. "That's it," Kate shouted and lunged toward Maria, she had slapped Maria before I managed to pull her away. 

The music had stopped now and everyone had turned towards the commotion. "Oh brilliant, you're just making it worse for yourself, James isn't even going to think twice before throwing you out," she cackled as if her evil plan had finally come together. "What did you tell him?" Kate asked almost in defeat.

"Oh brilliant, you're just making it worse for yourself, James isn't even going to think twice before throwing you out," she cackled making me stop fighting against Dan's restraint. I hated Maria and everything she'd done to hurt Dan, she'd gone too far this time, I couldn't let her hurt him any more. "What did you tell him?" I asked feeling slightly defeated, what could she hold against me. "Oh just that some bitch tried to attack me the other week, when he finds out it was you, you'll be outta here in a second," she said proud of her plan. "Yeah what about when I tell him you're still in love with his friend, what's he gonna say then? I think it'll be you out of here in a second and all alone again," I said cruelly but she deserved it, she deserved every ounce of pain she'd caused Dan tenfold. Her face dropped slightly, she hadn't thought of this in her plan. "What the fuck is happening in here, Dan?" A guy I assumed to be James came in. "I see you're fucking the girl who broke my heart," Dan said with disgust, I knew any thoughts of Maria caused him pain never mind being in the same room as her. "What this is Maria your ex? Man I'm sorry, I didn't realise, things aren't serious," James apologised and now he seemed to share a simmilar look of disgust towards Maria.

"Oh well she thought it was serious enough that if she lied to you about my girlfriend attacking her, she's good with the lies, you would happily kick Kate out," Dan said tonelessly, I could feel how much he wanted to just leave right now and escape Maria. "You would lie about that?" James said shocked and Maria. "They're lying, he's just jealous... he wants me back," Maria lied which made me laugh. "I highly doubt that, it looks like he's over you," James laughed and gestured towards me, "Get out Maria no one wants you here." Maria burst into tears, an attention seeking act I guessed. "Maria, no one cares, piss off," I shouted, just like Sarah hated liars I hated attention seekers. "Fine i'll go," Maria said her tears quickly vanishing before she stormed out. 

"We'll be going too man, great party until..." Dan trailed off only a tiny smile managed to form on his lips, before rushing out. "Yeah, sorry man, nice to meet you too, Kate was it?" James apologised before looking at me. "Yeah Kate, great to meet you too," I nodded before following Dan out. I quickly text Jem:

Hey, we left in case you didn't see/hear, we'll have to go for dinner or shopping sometime xxxx

I put my phone back in my bag and ran out into the dark streets in search for Dan, "Daniel," I shouted when I couldn't see him, "Dan, come back please," I begged. It took me five minutes to find him sat on a swing in the park behind James' house. "Baby, I'm so sorry," he apologised, I could see he had been crying. I cupped his face with my hand and brought it so he was looking at me, "You don't need to apologise, I knew this would upset you, just let me be here for you," I said sadly, the pain that was written on his face was momentarily replaced by a soft smile before returning again. "She doesn't have the right to come back and hurt me all over again," he sighed frustrated. "I know I wont let her, I love you," I said as he stood and wrapped his arms around me. "I never knew you had a little fighter in you, thank you for defending me in there. I'm never going to let anyone hurt you ever, you're mine to protect now, I love you to so fucking much," he said with such fierce certainty that filled me with warmth and love. "Always," I managed to whisper before his lips crashed down on mine, softly at first but becoming more urgent as I allowed his tongue to explore my mouth. His sweet tongue caressed my own as his strong hands pulled me closer to him, I moaned softly, I never wanted him to let me go. I knew this would be the start of my forever.

I kinda like this chapter short but sweet, I think theres only going to be about 5ish more chapters, but I don't know I'm going with the flow! There is however going to be a sequel. Thank you to my readers I nearly have 2,000 reads, so happy. I'm going to start doing dedications so if you comment  more, all criticism is welcome, it might just be you!
