Chapter 27: Waiting

Chapter 27:

"How about you stop talking to her?"

"Wait what?" Jimin and I simultaneously asked. I mean, I wanted to suggest that too, but looking at Jimin the way he is right now, it doesn't seem to happen anytime soon.

"I mean... From what I can see, she might have feelings for you, but like, she doesn't know about it yet or she doesn't want to admit it. Either of the two." Taehyung shrugged his shoulders as he explained.

"So?" Jimin asked, now a tint of pink showing in his face. Taehyung facepalmed before speaking, "You know this is actually your fault, you spoiled her to the point that you didn't leave anything for yourself. Even after what she did-"

I shot him a deathly glare to shut him up. It's not really the perfect time to bring that up.

"So what I'm saying is... she got so used to you texting, chatting or calling first, so now she won't make the first move ever." Taehyung continued explaining, which actually made sense, Maya may be nice and all, but she is actually full of pride. She wouldn't text a guy first, the only time she did was when Jungkook was acting up. Then, if Jimin is acting up, then maybe....

"Oh my God, yeah! Jimin, don't text her for a few days. Let's see what she'll do. When was your last conversation?" I asked as I glanced at his phone. He looked at his phone and answered, "Uhh? Just now?"

"Good. Don't reply. Even if it's a life and death situation- wait no, if it's a matter of life and death then reply, but if it's just a normal conversation then leave her a seen. What was the last text?"

Jimin gulped and looked a bit hesitant to speak, "It was just something about the pigeons..."

Taehyung and I looked at him dumbfounded, "Pigeons? Really?"

"Y-yeah."

"All the more reason not to reply then." I added and laid back down in my bed.

We all greeted each other good night and went to sleep. No, nothing happened, okay?

The next day, Jimin and I drove Taehyung to the station first thing in the morning. Well, we ate breakfast first, of course, care of Jimin's mom.

"Goodbye Tae, take care." I smiled at him and hugged him tight. He hugged me back and caressed my back. "Goodbye." He whispered.

Jimin waved him goodbye.

"So... how's the operation 'Make-Maya-text-first' going?" I smirked as I hit him in the shoulder. He yelped a loud 'Ouch' and scratched his head, "I feel bad, she texted me again this morning."

He took out his phone and showed me their conversation.

11:54 PM

Jimin:

A pigeon flew into my room last night

I was so shocked I screamed

And my mom came running upstairs asking me what's wrong

Maya:

OMG HAHAHAHAHAHA

Your mom is so cute

And I've never had a pigeon fly into my room before LOL
