Me and Bill walked through the front door. Worn, tired, depressed, betrayed, etc. I ran up to my room. I threw off my clothes, getting in the shower.

I sat in the shower, crying to myself. When I stepped out, I wrapped myself in a towel and wrapped my hair in a towel. My closet was connected to my bathroom by a doorway inside my bathroom, which I thought was kinda weird but convenient. I slipped on sweatpants and a white shirt.

When I took the shirt off it's hanger, I noticed behind it was one of Richie's palm tree button up shirts he let me borrow the first time we went to the quarry together, two years ago.

~~flashback~~

Brook stood by the normal tree out from of the school. Richie and Eddie came running up with Stanley and Billy behind them.

"Guys I can't believe we only have 3 months left of the sixth grade!" Eddie said in his tiny voice. He was the shorty of the group.

"But at the moment, it's Friday! What do you say we camp at the quarry?" She smiled eagerly to all of them.

"Yeah, I'm down!" Richie agreed. Stan just nodded with a half smile.

"Cool! Let's go!" Brook hopped on her bike and started off towards the quarry with all the other boys behind her.

They got to the rocks where they parked their bikes and set their backpacks. Brook ran up the trail, throwing off her shirt and pants. The other boys did the same. She grabbed Eddie's hand and lept off, dragging him with her. He screamed the whole way down. She swam back up the the surface and looked up to see Richie saying something to bill, but couldn't hear.

"Holy shit! I think I'm in love with your sister..." Richie mumbled to Billy. Billy chuckled. "Dude! I'm serious! It's not just because she has more balls than the rest of us, it's just because- I don't know. But I wanna marry her one day!" Richie smiled to himself.

"W-We'll see when the day comes!" Billy smirked before leaping off the cliff as well.

The sun started setting, so they all swam to the rocks where their stuff was left. Bill used some sticks to start a fire which they all sat around. Brook set something in her backpack before sitting down on a towel next to Richie.

He noticed that shivers ran through her body. He took his blue palm tree button up and wrapped it over her shoulders.

"T-thanks." She smiled to him. She wrapped the shirt over her shoulders tighter.

~~flashback ends~~

I had kept the shirt since then, it was too precious to let go. I bet he probably forgot about that day. I just pulled my shirt over my head and exiting my bathroom, going and laying on my bed.

Everyone I loved had left me, except Billy. But at this point I wouldn't be surprised if he did. I put him through so much, even when I didn't.

I didn't tell him about Georgie too keep him from going out there, but he still did because he had always had a hope that his best friend was still alive.

I grabbed my guitar and sat on my bed. I started strumming. "He looked at me and said baby you mean the world to me... I knew he was lying, but I still smiled..." I let the strums fade away.

"No..." I mumbled to myself. I held my pencil between my lips and grabbed my guitar books out of my drawer. I flipped through a couple books till I found some empty pages I could fill.
