Once she thought that working in the music industry, or entertainment if you wish, must be, like to suddenly find yourself in war zone.Oh, how close she was to an actual truth. And she was just a trainee. At the moment, absolutely no one.
After two weeks of being one of those, she got to the point, where she was pretty sure she is useless, unfit and dancing is definitely not her thing. Once she thought, she is good at things, but it felt so far back in her past, just after two weeks of running around and singing. Literally.
"Knees up!" her mentor at voice education class, yelled at her. Wondering what has her knees to do with singing in general? Dee was wondering too, like half an hour ago, when she couldn't help it anymore and voiced her opinion out loud and there upon she was sent to run around the circumference of the room, while singing the chorus of Hush from Miss A, over and over, while everyone in the group were gathered by the wall, watching her.
They already knew it's better to be quiet and not cause a trouble. Dee knew that too, the thing was, she hated when someone was bullying others, just because they have the power. And that was, what this so called mentor was doing to one the newer trainee girl.
Thanks to her heroic acting up, the sweat was running down her back now, her face was burning up, how pissed off she was, but she was singing her lungs out, trying not to make a single mistake, so that witch can keep her mouth shut.
She was punished few times during those two weeks, but she never backed down, even if she was in pain. During that time she learnt a lot about herself. She is strong. Or maybe it was because of cheering up she was receiving from few particular people, making her to work her ass off.
"That's enough, the class is over," the witch uttered not bothering to check, if she is okay. Once she left the room, Dee stopped and collapsed on the floor. Her thighs were on fire, so she massaged them gently, when the piece of the white soft fabric appeared in her field of vision.
"Thank you," she heard quiet voice, before the towel landed on the floor in front of her and the owner of it disappeared who knows where. She picked it up with thankful heart, wiping her sweaty face. She looked up, seeing that the room was already empty, except of her. She checked the time, knowing she has a half an hour before her dance class will start, feeling like she wants to die.
This was the first time, someone dared to finally approach her. She didn't know the reason, no one felt like talking to her. Did she look that scary? In the reality, she didn't mind that, she was okay on her own, whole her life, happy to have one true friend. Or maybe she didn't mind because she was so focused on her mission.
Ringing of her phone woke her up from hibernation, while she gathered a bits of her energy a picked herself up of the floor.
"Yeah?" she didn't bother to check the ID of the caller, she knew who is it in advance.
"You don't sound good," Baekhyun's jolly voice pierced her bubble of misery, making her frown.
"I'm excellent, thank you for your concern, don't ever call back, bye," ready to hang up, she heard him chuckle. He used these calls as the source of his amusement, she came to decision.
Since the time she arrived, she didn't see him, but she had to listen to his voice, through the speaker of her phone, on regular basis. Not that she didn't have an option to just simply don't pick it up, but she secretly enjoyed their talks, which contained him, making fun of her and her bringing his ego down. Isn't that the most truthful connection between two people on the planet?
Chanyeol would be proud, as it looked like he decided to start his new career of being a fairy godmother of her non-existent relationship with Baekhyun. He got to another lever from Mater Joda to fairy-tale fairy. Chanyeol is definitely something.
