12. Life changing event

"Let's go," he said hoarsely, moving away from her at last. She felt like, she will collapse on the floor any minute, letting out breath she was holding in, the whole time. He made a step back, running his fingers through his hair, messing them up a bit. Earlier they had a defined shape and every strand had its place. Now it was sticking out everywhere, but she couldn't find the ability to talk and point it out.

He walked to the door, opening them for her, so she followed like a robot, not looking at him.

What on earth was that, Dee?

She was asking herself panicky, while she went past him into the hall. They continued back to the elevators, not talking at all, which made the sudden weird mood even more awkward. The current situation made her even forget about the problem with her father, for a split of second.

"Hey, lovebirds!" someone shouted all of a sudden, sounding like it was meant for her and Baekhyun.

"God damn it, I will kill him," she heard Baekhyun muter, before he turned around. She followed his lead, wanting to find out what is it about, when she saw a big group of guys in suits coming their way. She recognized smiling face of Chanyeol, who didn't even stop, when they walked all the way to where she and Baekhyun were standing. He went to her and then he demonstrated the biggest bear hug in history of hugs. This guy definitely knew how to be affectionate.  She just stood there and let him do whatever he want, she felt like she is being suffocated anyway.

"I missed you girl!" he exclaimed, when he pulled away, giving her view of his bright grin.

"Hey!" that was Bakehyun's annoyed voice, dragging all the attention to him.

"What's with your hair?" D.O, who she could already recognize, asked Baekhyun. She felt the blush creeping in her cheeks and she even didn't know why exactly. She didn't even want to think about what could have happened, if Baekhyun didn't stop at the right time.

"Why are you all red in face?" Chanyeol noticed her blush and now everyone's eyes were on her, making it even worse to stop that annoying habit of her face. Exo members were glancing from her to Baekhyun and back, who's ears were now of darkest shade of red, making it even more obvious. God, they didn't even do anything.

"So that was why you were rushing back to Korea, huh?"  guy with dimples teased Baekhyun, who wasn't capable of even trying to explain the situation. She was dying inside. He is always so confident, why doesn't he stop them assuming things?

"Well did you have a good reunion?" Chen asked with knowing smile, plastered over his lips. Oh, God please help us!

"It's not it..." she tried to deny that, but it was like she was talking inito a wall. No response whatsoever.

"Ah, the young love! Isn't it the best," the leader Suho, whose name she found out after their first meeting in BBC building, grinned from ear to ear. When she thought about him acting like a proud mum, back then, she didn't have an idea how close she is to truth.

"Stop making it uncomfortable, you jerks. She finally agreed to show up on public with me," wondering who said those ridiculous words? She turned her head towards Baekhyun, who started this stupid game of his. He promised he would stop and now he is doing it again? What did Eve said? Play along?

"Ah, sorry Dee. This is still new to us, but we are so excited. None of us really have the strength to find a girlfriend and when it happens it's always fun," Chanyeol's gleaming eyes were talking themselves. She forcefully returned his smile, then focused her attention back to Bakehyun, who's eyebrows shot up. She moved towards him, taking his hand, intertwining her fingers with his. For outsiders it looked like sweet gesture of trust, but she forget to add, that she squeezed his fingers as much as her stronger slowed her, until he started to fidget, trying to get away from her, but she hugged his arm with hers, not letting him to do so.
