~~~ Baekhyun - Take you home ~~~
Her phone was glued to her ear for past half an hour, trying to get hold of Baekhyun and failing so badly. She cussed under her breath, biting her lower lip so rapidly, that she felt the taste of metal on her tongue. She felt the urge to start crying again, but she knew once she starts, she won't be able to stop.
"Please, can you go a bit faster?" she asked the driver of the taxi she was sitting in. He looked at her through the mirror, narrowing his eyes.
"The traffic is bad, there is no way, miss," he murmured and then focused on the road. Why did she had a this weird feeling of déjà vu? It was raining outside, making her think, how much of a cliché this is.
Aish... why isn't he picking up?
Oh yeah, right, maybe because she is the biggest fool of this century. She wasn't really surprised he didn't pick up her calls. Perhaps he couldn't, but she was almost sure, he didn't want to talk to her, after how she acted up.
How could she be so stupid? How could she just end up being driven by her lack of trust towards people?
~
She was sitting on the longue sofa in her temporary hideout, watching her half-sister on the opposite of her.
"Now that I have you in front of me, I don't know where I should start," Soojye murmured seemingly uneasy as she lowered her eyes, thinking what to say. Dee tried to be patient, but she was a wreck, wanting to know what her friend has on her mind.
"You want to probably curse at me, for not telling you earlier..." Dee mumbled, bowing her head apologetically.
"I already knew, Iseul, for a long time. Long before I even got to know you personally," Soojye said after a long sigh she let out. Dee widened her eyes, blinking for another few seconds.
"You knew..." she repeated blankly.
"I have to say, my dad was very diligent with cleaning up after himself, but not enough," Soojye stated. She wasn't shocked or hurt, when the news about Dee came out today. She knew beforehand. Dee didn't know if she should be relieved or somehow intimidated.
"How did you... Why didn't you tell me? I didn't have a clue you are my sister, up until I saw you with your family in the restaurant," she let out, not being able to cover up her feelings, going back in time and reliving those moments with Soojye.
"That was hilarious moment there, indeed," Soojye chuckled, like she was seriously amused by all this.
"It wasn't fun for me," Dee said quietly.
"For me it was. Seeing my dad chocking and my mom not having a slightest idea what is going on, while only I was the one not oblivious towards all that," her friend shook her head, turning serious at last.
"The reason, you didn't lay in that alley forever, after my stupid dad had those thugs trying to convince you to leave is that I knew all about it. That's why I escorted you all the way to your school. But they got you afterwards eventually," Soojye started to explain, when she saw how confused Dee is. Now she found out the true reason Soojey was still there, to save her, when she fell unconscious.
"How long do you... how did you find out all this?" Dee asked. Soojye was few years younger, but still it felt like the girl in front of her was somehow mature.
"It's been a year or so, since I stopped being a child and learned, my dad is a pig," Soojye smiled at her, to cover up her true feeling. She was hurting, the same way Dee was. "It happened, when I found out he had an affair with mum of my best friend. I wanted to look for some evidence and show it to my mom, who is always so out of it. She has no clue, what is happening around her. That her husband is pathetic liar and fucks everything that has two legs," Dee widened her eyes, seeing Soojye who was always so calm and cute, swearing so eagerly. "As I was saying I was looking for the evidence, in his office at home, when I found those letters in the bottom draw," she finished her storytelling, looking at Dee intensively. Dee frowned her brows, thinking about what Soojye just said.
