Eddie POV

I woke up noticing I was in an unfamiliar room, also feeling the presence of someone beside me.

I turn my head only to be met with a sleeping Richie. I didn't exactly know how I ended up to what appeared to be his room, but didn't bother questioning it.

"Good morning, babe." I heard a tired voice say beside me, realizing it was Richie's. Wait, had Richie just called me BABE?

"M-morning." He softly smiles, planting a kiss on my lips. I was utterly confused at this point, but tried my best to enjoy it while it lasted. Richie started to curl up closer to me, interlocking our fingers too. This made me blush madly in response to his soft yet loving actions.

"I love you."

I was cut out of my romantic dream when the beeping of my alarm had occurred. Jesus. I can't believe myself for dreaming about Richie.

Why him of all people? I don't even like him! Do I? Well, I did kiss him yesterday, but that was only because I felt bad.. right? I don't even know.

I shuffled around in my closet for something to wear, then headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Today was Friday. Thank God.

I really was in desperate need of a break from stress and school. Speaking of school, I noticed Richie wasn't here today. I wonder if he was okay. I asked Stan and Bill about it at lunch but they were as clueless as I was, considering he seemed to be fine yesterday.

The end-of-day bell rang as people swarmed throughout the hallways. I was planning on going to Richie's house to check up on him, so I was in a bit of a rush. I jogged over towards my locker but instead crashed into someone in the process.

"Oh my god, I-I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going! Sorry!" I apologized.

"No worries, need some help?" The boy said looking down at my fallen papers.

"Uhm, yeah, sure, thank you." We both bent down and started to grab the loose papers that have made their way down from my binder. He handed me the pile he collected and brushed hands with mine as he did so.

"Hey. I'm Will by the way." He said smiling.

"Eddie, nice to meet you."

"Same goes to you."

"Um.." I stammered. "I'm in quite of a rush, so as much as I would like to continue this conversation with you, I gotta get going."

"No problem. See you around, Eddie. Bye."

"Buh-bye." I rushed back over to my locker and swung it open shoving my things in there, closing it, and running towards the school doors.

It didn't take very long to end up at Richie's, he was only a couple blocks away from the school. I stepped up his porch steps, creaking with every foot I plant on it, and made my way to the door. I knocked three times only waiting a few moments when a woman answered.

"Can I help youu?" She slurred. I assumed she was either drunk or high, maybe even both. A waft of alcohol and drugs filled my nostrils as she swung open the door.

"Um, yeah. Is Richie home by any chance? He wasn't at school today."

"No, he isn't."

"Do you know where he is?"

"I don't know, and I don't care."

"Do you have any ideas where he could've gone?"

"Like I said, I don't know and I don't care." She slurred once again, raising her voice.
