Will POV

"What the fuck?!" Richie yelled once he saw Stanley jump into the water.

"He's insane, juh-jumping in October cold water." Bill said.

"Who even does that?" Eddie asks.

"Clearly a very good mooded Stanley Uris." Mike answers.

We then all look over the edge of the cliff to see Stanley's head pop up and over the surface of the water.

"You guys coming?" He called from below.

"Fuck no." Richie replied.

"Suit yourself." He shrugs and swims around a bit.

"I wuh-will." Bill says and sits down on a rock.

We all just kind of sit around, not daring to jump down into the icy water, Stanley claiming it's fine, which we all know it's a lie. Stanley keeps whining for us to come down in which we refuse each time he asks.

"Will, you okay?" Mike turns to me.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" I say.

"You've just been really quiet since lunch.."

"No," I start. "There's just been something on my mind, that's all."

"We can talk about it if you want?"

"It's fine, really. It isn't really important either." I assure him.

"Okay.." He says, unconvinced.

It's no surprise, he shouldn't be convinced. Because it is in fact not fine, and maybe even important. The last thing I want to do is drag my best friend into this. And the reason why I've been so quiet is because I don't know what she'll do next.

Richie already skipped two days and I'm guessing Beverly isn't too happy about that. So I better be really prepared for what's coming my way. I just need to keep the others as far away from this as possible-

"Hey losers!" Beverly snarled along with Mike, walking towards us.

I could already sense the fear and panic coming from the others, not even mentioning Eddie already taking a puff from his inhaler.

"huh-how the fuck.." Bill mumbled to himself, me catching what he said.

"Hey, Richie." Beverly came walking towards him. "You didn't show up. Twice now."

"Why should I?" He said.

"You know damn well it's not just what happened in the cafeteria and you know it. Unless.., you'd rather have that conversation right here, right now?" She sneered.

"No.."

"And might I ask why you didn't listen to Will and come where I told you to?" She smirked.

"Will..?" He turns to me in confusion.

"That's right. Now, every time you not showing up adds up to Will's punishment. You know that, right?"

"N-no.."

"Good. Now you know." She says. "But now for Will," She comes over to me, followed by Mike. "It's time for your punishment for today, don't you think?"

But before I could answer, I was punched square in the face. I could hear faint yells but the punch blocked out some of my hearing, only left with a sharp ringing sound. I was taken off guard when someone then kicked at my side, me yelping in pain.

But that wasn't the worst part, no. It was the fact that I couldn't move. Every time I did, I just, hurt.

But before I knew it, I was thrown over the cliff and into the water below.
