She Did Not Deserve To Die

She did not deserve to die.

She did nothing wrong.

She had so much to live for.

Now she can do nothing more than take a nap.

A nap from which she will not wake.

A nap that will let her Rest In Peace.

A nap that is all her own.

The nap that is hers forever.

Her nap has taken away all of her pain.

The pain is forever gone.

The pain was taken along with her life.

She did not deserver to die.

She did not deserve to die.

I would gladly give up everything,

If it meant she could live once again.

I would gladly die,

If it meant she could live once again.

I would gladly go to hell,

If it meant she could live once again.

She did not deserve to die.

Author's Note: In I way, I suppose she did deserve to die, because she did not deserve to be in that much pain. I can find comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain.

I wrote this poem after my cat, Tinkerbell, was killed by a stupid, evil, murdering, barn cat.
