As Time Goes By
Night by night
I become
More and more
Sleep deprived.
Day by day
My heart aches
More and more
Every time I see him.
Hour by hour
I sink
Deeper and deeper
Into a depression.
Minute by minute
I crumble
Closer and closer
To the ground.
Second by second
The tears inch
Closer and closer
To the surface.
Breathe by breathe
My mind floats
Farther and farther
Away.
As time goes by
I only come closer
To my total demise.
