Chapter 45

“Ladies and gents, I have an announcement!” Laguna grinned entering the school’s theater. Everyone sat down in one of the seats and quieted down as he jumped onto the stage. “So today’s the 28th of May and there’s alotta stuff going on right?”

“Way to state the obvious,” Ven said sarcastically, clapping his hands.

“Shut up Venny! Let him talk!” Yuffie smacked the back of his head.

“Thank you Yuffie,” Laguna flashed her a smile before continuing. “Anyway, Xemnas extended the end of school to June 20th! And because my students are SO talented, we’ll be conducting BOTH the talent show and the play.”

“Will it be a musical?” Stella asked with hopeful eyes.

“Now, now, I’m not entirely sure yet, but if we can’t do the play, we’ll have a talent show for sure or maybe…” he trailed off. “Hmm… no, no, that won’t work we don’t have enough time…”

“Mind thinking out loud?” Larxene crossed her arms,” Maybe we can help.”

“How about we do music and media appreciations showcase?” you wondered aloud. “That way we can perform the songs we want but you choose them from a playlist we give you- so it won’t be biased. We can have auditions and everything too.”

“I LOVE the idea!” Laguna grinned again. “So then [Name], how do you suggest we go on about doing the auditions?”

“W-Well,” you scratched the back of your head in thought. “You can give all the people who are gonna try out for the auditions a certain song to memorize and sing—”

“And a corresponding dance taught by D2D!” Zell chirped. “They were great at Noctis’ birthday remember?”

“Oh yeah!” Laguna nodded, “That’s perfect!”

“SEXIST!! THAT’S SEXIST!!” Yuffie pointed with a shout.

“Yeah, what about us girls!?” Rika pouted.

“Well I don’t exactly have any girls to teach you unless LeBlanc—”

“Uh… You can just tell us to copy a music video!” Xion stopped him. “Besides, it’ll all be choreographed in the end anyways right?”

“Right, right, right! Save’s me the trouble- whew,” he sighed with relief. “Okay then, 10 songs each of you, due by the end of the period. I’ll ask some college students for their opinions too.”

It was finally time for training and you decided on sparring a little against Leon to hone your new powers- especially since the traitor was absent today. However, Touya stated earlier this morning he had a vision the shinobi were moving into a hideout somewhere within Hollow Bastion- which meant you didn’t exactly have the security to have your guard down just yet. But, a little friendly match didn’t hurt anyone right?

Afterschool, you went home and began working on some homework that was due next week. Once that was done, there wasn’t really much do to, so you decided to go see what the guys were up to- especially since Rika had gone with the girls to cheer on Xion at practice. It turned out- unlike the football team- they practiced every day after school and at lunch. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, you heard music blasting from the dance room and went to go inspect what they were up to this time.

You gently slid the door open to reveal the room packed with boys. In front of them were Noa, Vergil and Raizo, showing them steps to a dance. Nero was with Kazuki on a bench, both with headphones, and an iPad between them. Natsu, Dante, and Isamu were walking around, inspecting and helping those who weren’t getting the moves so well. Hiro, who was playing as DJ once again, looked up from the laptop in front of him and immediately stopped the music when seeing you- making a hoard of guys bump into one another.
