“[Name]-hime, time to awaken the full potential of your ability,” the kudan called.
“Please tell me, where is your master? I haven’t the slightest idea of who he is, and I’m going to need his help to defeat Ryuushin,” you urged.
“My master also awaits your fate, watching you from a distance. Please be patient for all will be divulged within due time.”
“At least give me a hint.”
“I cannot tamper with the treachery fate has bestowed upon you, for blood and betrayal already shatters the very path you walk.”
“I don’t… understand.”
“My apologies [Name]-hime, I sense my brother’s approach. I must prepare to protect my master although I myself am weak. Remember, in order to succeed in his taming, you must prove yourself worthy to his form. That is all I am allowed to say.”
With that, your eyes slowly opened and you groggily sat up. The small clock on your nightstand read 9:30AM. You sighed and pushed through the canopy, getting out of bed. As you headed for the door, you caught the reflection of yourself in the mirror- your eyes glowing even brighter, the pendant as well. Another sigh escaped your lips and you quietly made way to the bathroom where you took a shower and got ready for the day.
Once you came out you decided on wearing a white tank top beneath a black button up cropped flannel- which you left open- and black shorts. You shoved your phone into your pocket and after coming through your slightly wet hair you headed downstairs where- as soon as you had reached the bottom- a blindfold covered your eyes. Instinctively, you elbowed the person in the stomach and twisted their arm back as you dashed behind them, summoning your katana and holding it to their throat.
“[N-Name]! Calm down, it’s just me!” Cloud huffed in shock.
“Cloud!?” you groaned and called back your katana, about to take off the blindfold when his hand stopped you. “Cloud, what are you doing?”
“Uh… Fai told me not to let you see anything,” he mumbled, leading you carefully towards whet felt like the direction of the kitchen.
“Oh good, you woke up early!” Fai chirped.
“Oji-san, why in the world would you let Cloud blindfold me!? You know my reflexes! I could’ve hurt him!”
“I’m fine [Name],” Cloud said quietly.
“See? Cloud’s a tough guy! And why not? He said he wanted to help! Besides, I’m kicking you out of the house today.”
“What!? Why!? I wanted to relax!”
“I believe our little [Nickname]-chan forgot what today is,” Kazuki chuckled, entering the room and ruffling your hair.
“Okay! Number 1: I’m really uncomfortable with this damn blindfold on, and number 2: today is Saturday,” you crossed your arms.
“[Name],” Cloud chuckled. “You really did forget.”
“Forget what!?” you groaned, accidentally hitting your head on the counter. “Ah… Ouch…”
“Happy birthday~ To you~,” Isamu cooed in a soft voice. His singing could’ve melted any girl’s heart.
“Oh!” you facepalmed. “I totally forgot about that!”
“Forgetting your own birthday,” Kazuki hummed. “I thought that wasn’t possible.”
“Anything is possible for [Name],” Isamu stated quietly, but you could hear the smirk in his voice.
