“Ms. [Surname]?”

“…”

“Ms. [Surname]!?” Vexen called a bit louder.

“…”

“MS. [SURNAME]!?”

“H-Huh?” you were snapped out of your thoughts as you turned your attention away from the window and to him, the entire class looking at you in question. “Yes?”

“Ms. [Surname], I believe that we were discussing the dissection of—”

“Demons,” you interrupted, reading his mind which now crossed with shock.

“Oh?” he challenged with a cocked eyebrow. “Well then, let us see what you have on you notes,” he began walking to the back of the classroom where you were seated between Riku and Noa.

“Crap,” you muttered, looking at the page that only had chibi anime over it. ‘What am I gonna do?’ you panicked.

Noa was making hand movements beneath the desk, his lips barely moving as Vexen stumbled in the aisle. He stopped in his tracks, turning to redhead in pure rage,” Mr. Sinclair?”

“Sorry Vexy,” Axel chuckled. “I just wanted to stretch- got it memorized?”

Vexen grunted and turned back to marching down the aisle, grabbing your notebook and glancing over it. A second later, he scoffed and slammed it back on the desk,” Looks like you were paying attention.”

“Of course she was!” Noa grinned. “[Nickname]-chan’s super smart!”

“Right,” Vexen rolled his eyes and made his way back to the front of the class.

“Thanks, Noa,” you breathed.

“No problemo~,” he winked.

“Hey, [Name]?” Riku looked over at you.

“Hm?”

“You can let go now,” he bit back a smile, holding up his left hand which you were squeezing with your right without realization.

“O-Oh,” you blushed, immediately pulling your hand back. “S-Sorry Riku.”

“It’s alright,” he chuckled, looking at the red imprint which you had left.

After the little confrontation Genevieve and her small posse of teenage girls by the precognitionists yesterday, you were forced to spend all day at home- precautionary demands made by Kurogane and Fai. Throughout that day, everyone called or came over later, to see if you were alright about the news, and to make sure nothing had happened to you. Of course when one of the boys would come over, Wasurete decided to supervise- getting on your nerves just a bit… which was a large understatement.

Laguna also showed up with Leon and Seifer, handing you a series of lyrics you were to memorize for the showcase which you had already gotten down. After that, you had been learning the steps to with the help of Leon- who apparently had seen his father’s students do it numerous times- and Isamu- who decided to stay home with you.

The bell rang and you slowly got up, choosing on not to rush yourself to get to Luxord’s. Riku waited for you, the two of you being met by Vergil at the door. You waved them off, telling them you’d catch up to them in a bit. Axel came out laughing with Zack and winked at you; you smiled and rolled your eyes in return.

“Thanks for your help back there, Axel.”

“No problem,” he grinned, throwing an arm around your shoulders. “So, in return how about a date?” he winked once more.
