“What do you mean I’m suspended from playing!?” you yelled, getting out of the pool.
Blitzball practice had just finished and being that you were tired from it, you had no patience whatsoever for the stammering Xemnas was doing. Your whole team- Jecht included- was in pure shock, and the on looking group of your friends who came to watch today’s practice after the second round of afterschool rehearsals were done, were sauntering down from their seats to see what your outburst towards the principal was about.
“I’m sorry Ms. [Surname], but this is the consequence for your actions yesterday,” he said coolly.
“MY ACTIONS!?” you shrieked, walking over to him. “What about those girls!? They deserve some punishment as well! They’ve been harassing me since day one!”
“I have taken care of it Ms. [Surname],” he held up a hand to stop you from continuing. “They’re on duty to help with stage décor.”
“Way to give them something they’ll enjoy,” Vincent muttered.
“My apologies, but rules are rules. You can begin playing again week after next. School is out, but practice isn’t I assume. Convenient yes? I bid you all farewell then, I have some business to attend to,” he gave a curt nod before walking out of the building.
“That damn b—”
“Easy [Nickname]!” Noa cut you off, clamping a hand over your mouth from behind you.
“What are we gonna do coach?” Maqui frowned. “Our latest technique has [Name] in it! She and Tidus and Yuj!”
“I dunno, but we’re gonna need to think of something,” Jecht sighed. “What did you do anyways?” he cocked an eyebrow at you.
“She threw chili fries at Stella,” Zack answered with a grin.
“That’s it?” Jecht scoffed. “Damn education system is suspending you for that? I don’t believe it.”
“Dad, isn’t there a way we can still have her play?” Noel asked. “I mean, there’s gotta be!”
“Noel’s right!” Yuj nodded. “It’s not cheating! None of the rules say a suspended player couldn’t participate in—”
“Rule #14,” you and Tidus cut him off simultaneously.
“O-Oh,” he frowned. “Yeah… never mind.”
“Unless!” Vaan snapped his fingers. “We let [Name] be disguised as one of us!”
“It’s worth a shot,” Vincent nodded.
“Doesn’t the sphere pool have this thingy that stops powers from being used or something?” Terra wondered aloud.
“But [Nickname]-chan wouldn’t be using a power! She’d be under a spell!” Noa grinned. “I can help with that!”
“Look, look!” Jecht barked over everyone else’s voice. “[Name] isn’t gonna play and that’s final! If the blitz committee knew that we were cheating like that, the entire academy would be disqualified from playing any other sports, you’d all be kicked out, and I’d rot in jail.”
“Who said they were gonna find out old man?” Tidus challenged with crossed arms.
“Boy, you know as well as I do that there’s no chance of them NOT finding out.”
“Yeah,” Tidus sighed. “You’re right.”
“Sorry girl, but you’re gonna have to sit this one out,” Jecht gave you a sad smile.
