You kept crawling, always keeping him in the corner of your eye. "Why isnt he moving?" You though as you turned your head completely and looked at him trough the bars in the railing. It looked like his face had changed, yet he looked the same as he always had. The eyes as clear and cold as ice. His clean cut jaw, and his porcelain skin. There was something mesmerizing about him, some dark enchanted spell that lied around him like a dark fog.
Suddenly your shoe slipped of the step and your arms gave in, your chest met the floor, and your shoe scraped of. Suddenly the magic around him dissapeared, and you could see the darkeness return to his eyes, as his head jumped in your direction and your eyes met his, a shiver whent down your spine. It was a huge distance between you, but you could almost hear the words he mouthed.
-Game over.
Complete silence followed. He looked directly in to your eyes, not loosing his grip. For a second everything stood still, the wind stopped howling, the stairs stopped rumbeling, your body stopped shaking, and your heart stopped beating. All that existed in that moment was the electricsl line going from his eyes to yours, and the growing adrenaline from within your veins. His mouth slowly curved in to a smirk, and in a moment it all started moving again. Your heart raced like a thousant horse cloves, the wind blew in to a hurricane, and his whole body tightened, then he ran as fast as his legs could bare him.
-Oh shit. You exclaimed to yourself as you saw his silver hair flip up and down as he sprinted up the stairs.
-Oooooohhhhhhh shit. You repeated, as you invested the rest of your strength in to your arms and pushed your whole body above yur elbows, and your legs took it from there.
-Fuuuuuuuuck. He was one quick motherfucker.
He had allready passed the first set of stairs, thankfully the stairway you were at, was turned in the complete opposite direction appoast from him.
You took a quick glance at the stairs and had to find another place to hide. The room of requierment were somewhere up, far up...
You suddenly lost all controll over your body, as your heard someone run straight below you. Your body suddenly jerked up the stairs, this was probably the fastest you had ever moved in your entire life. Your boobs jumped up and down, but you hardly noticed it, you were kind of otherwise occupied. The paintings around you paited, and cheered you both on. Some of them boo'ed as you ran past them, and some cheered.
You ran up atleast 7 set of stairs, not checking behind you once. Your whole body was burning, both with excitement and exhaustion. Your face was burning. Your gut was telling you to run and hide in the next exit, but your head wanted to head to the room of requierment, or to your own house. You were torn between the two. You saw another exit, not far away, you thought it was to the astronomy tower, you hadnt really been spending time getting to know the castle in all your years. You looked behind you, Draco was still running, his eyes werent on you, his eyes were on his feet, and you took the chance. Before you knew it, your whole body did an emergency turn to the left, and you sprinted the hallway, like you had never run before.
The cold air whipping your long hair on to your fair skin. But ypu couldnt have cared less at the moment. You rounded the corner, all out of breath, you soundlessly ghasped for air. Around you were nothing but stone walls, and windows. Or not even windows, just opening in the stone walls, it made a really beautifull patern as the moon shone trough, beautiful symetrical incarnations of light lit up the floor, and the fresh air made it magical. It was something magical about the whole castle. Something about the way the wind cuddled up to the rough stone, something about the way the moon softly touched the shadows as it split open the dark, something about how way the castle had become your home.
You stood there for a moment and felt the wind in your hair. Shoes rapidly being quickly dragged across the dirty marble floor pulled you out of your moment.
You pushed your body against the shadows behind the corner and listened. As the steps kept coming further up, you decided that it wad better to run for it.
You pressed your back against the uneven rock walls, and soundlessly snuck away. He kept running further up, his quick steps passed you, if he had known where you took of, you'd be fucked right about now.
A hit of fresh air came in trough the openings in the walls that fenced in the room. The air wasn't cold, it was the same temperature as your skin. It was magic. Dumbledore was quite extraordinary. It was why he had openings in the rocks, and not windows. He had put a spell upon the castle. The second the icy wind passed the gorgeous stone stencils, it became a breath of warm summer air. You couldn't help but smile. You closed your eyes, and let the wind gently caress your skin. It slithered its fingers in to your hair and ran a cold hand trough your dark locks. It was so different. You were standing there, all alone in an idyllic moment. It was like a cliche, it was, it was no point in denying it. You just felt so calm, if it hadn't been for the fact that there was a psycho on the loose.
You collected your thoughts and cleared tour throat before thinking strategy.
Okay right now you had two options. You could either run back downstairs, then to the slytherin dormitories to get your wand, or you could continue wherever you were headed now.
You quickly collected yourself and continued walking further in to the grey hallway, only lit up by the beautifully rounded shapes carved in to the hard rock.
You were familiar on this floor, it was where Dolores Umbridge had blown up the room of requirement in your 5th year. It was now used to store a lot of unused stuff. You liked being there, nobody ever came up there, and if they did, it had countless of hiding places. It was not just a big room with piles and piles of furniture, and antiquities. Some of the object were actually really really nice. The room also had old books, jewelry, and stuff students had come to get rid of.
Draco had run straight past you, and were headed for the towers, you wondered how long it would take before he realised that you weren't there. You could still hear his big feet slam against the solid marble, not stopping.
