"Come on, let's go!!!" I yell, running down the steps of the summer cabin.

"Ash, wait!" A honey-blonde girl with a straw hat quickly went down the steps after me.

"Come on, we're going to miss it!"

We both run towards the lake, our every step hitting the cool, green grass.

A breeze blows and Serena's hat blows away.

"Ash, my hat!"

I jump after it but fail to, falling towards the soft grass.

Getting back up, I follow it towards the top of a small hill and manage to grab it.

"I got it!"

I turn around with a bright smile.

I suddenly realize that she wasn't following me.

"Serena?"

I look around but can't spot her.

"Huh..."

"Serenaaaa!" I yell out, ambling towards the lake.

"Ash! Over here!"

I turn my head to see a small figure waving at me.

"What are you doing all the way over here?" I ask, out of breath.

"I was going to follow you, but I spotted these flowers... They're so pretty,"

My lips curve into a smile.

I lean forward and pick one.

"Serena, here,"

"Hm?" She takes a step closer to me.

I tuck the stem of the orchid under her hair tie and begin to secure it in place.

"H-Huh?" Her cheeks warm up.

I give her a grin.

"And... there!" I step back.

"H-How does it look?" She stutters, her straw hat covering her eyes.

"Look at me, Serena,"

She looks up, her cerulean eyes meeting mine.

"You look great!" I say with a grin, giving her a thumbs up.
