Wishing To Be Her- Legolas

Prompt- You are in love with Legolas, but he is in love with Tauriel. You wish you were Tauriel, gaining the affections of Legolas.

Warnings- Depressing

(A/N- This one isn't as long as the others. I have the worst case of writer's block, so if you could give me requests, that would be helpful; you don't have to, though. Anyways, I just had no clue what to say, so this is the prduct you get.)

You know that Legolas is head over heels for Tauriel. You also know that Tauriel does not reciprocate his feelings. So, Legolas tries to gain her favour; Tauriel does not see it, for she is blinded by her love of a dwarf. You wish that Legolas would stop pining for Tauriel and pine for you; an elleth who actually likes him.

What really tortures you about the whole ordeal is thst they're both your best friends; they constantly talk about the people they love. Legolas has even practised his declaration of love for Tauriel on you.

All of this creates a massive black hole in your heart. You just wish Legolas would see how you purposely do things to grab his attention. You wish that he could see how you're crumbling on the inside every time he speaks of his feelings for Tauriel.

You've trained every day for ten hours just to gain his favour; the attempts have been futile. You fight alongside him in battle, but he doesn't seem to notice. He can't keep his eyes off of Tauriel.

Oh how you envy her. You envy her skills, her title, her name, her face, her clothes, her hair, her eyes, and most of all, you envy the love that Legolas feels for her.

You wish you were Tauriel.

But, you'll never be Tauriel; Legolas will possibly never reciprocate your feelings. But, the lifespan of an elf is very long. Elves are immortal, in fact. A hundred years is the mere blink of an eye in the lifespan of an elf; you will wait.
