{Prompt: Write a poem in which you are an observer to a scene. Put yourself in a public place and record in detail what you see around you. Also include some things you may hear.}
Bittersweet chocolate
wrapped inside metal boxes with bows.
Ripped teddy bear limbs,
with the stuffing falling out.
Burnt cookies
turned to ashes in tupperware.
A heart beats in the distance,
with anxiety swelling in its arteries.
A carefully crafted letter
is ripped to smithereens.
Hard work and effort
Thrown against the wall
shattering into a million tiny pieces
scattered across the floor.
On such a special day
Bittersweet Chocolates, Ripped Teddy Bear Limbs, Burnt Cookies, A Heart With One Last Beat, A Carefully Crafted Letter, and last but not least, Wasted Hard Work and Effort--
Make these 6 hours a living hell.
