Thalia (1)
We were now seated at the dinner table with Aang and his two water tribe friends that I still haven't learned the names of.
I was seated next to Toph who sat on my uncle's side with Aang on the other side of him.
Once the food was brought over, the water tribe boy didn't waste any time to jump right in. I giggled at him, making him blush.
Toph's rice bowl was served to her and before she could start to eat, her father told the servant to blow on it because it was too hot for her. Aang didn't hesitate to impress, sending over a small tornando that blew out the steam.
My aunt and uncle were impressed, they clapped as did Master Yu. Toph and I just kept our hands under the table.
"Avatar Aang, it's an honor to have you visit us." My aunt smiled. "In your opinion, how much longer do you think the war would last?" My uncle asked.
"I'd like to defeat the Fire Lord by the end of summer, but I can't do that without finding an earth bending teacher first." Aang smirked while looking at Toph. I sent him a glare, which he ignored.
My uncle chuckled, "Well, Master Yu is the finest teacher in the land. He's been teaching Toph since she was little."
Aang grinned, "Then she must be a great earth bender! Probably good enough to teach someone el-" Aang suddenly jumped up from his seat with an 'ow!'
I covered my mouth to hide my smile. Toph simply ate her rice, like nothing happened. I knew what she was doing to shut him up.
"Toph is still learning the basics." Master Yu said. My uncle nodded, "Yes, and sadly because of her blindness, I don't think she'll ever become a true master."
The trio in front of us looked to each other with their brows raised. I cleared my throat, "Which is why it'd be impossible for Toph to teach you Earth bending. If you want to learn how to move a pebble, maybe."
Aang shook his head, "Oh, I'm sure she can move more than just a pebble. She could be a lot better than you think she is-"
Aang's chair suddenly moved forward, making him plant his face into his bowl of soup. My uncle, aunt, and Master Yu carried confused looks while Toph and I ate our rice with a kind smile.
When Aang started to make a loud sneezing noise, I covered my face, but that wasn't enough to block all the food that he air sneezed at us to hit us.
I wiped some soup from my chin before getting up from my seat, "Hey!"
Toph did the same after me, "What's your problem?!"
Aang did so after her, "What's your problem?!"
I muttered, "I'll show you our problem." Before I could stomp over to him, my aunt grabbed my hand and smiled while saying, "Well, shall we move to the living room for dessert then?"

After Toph and I got cleaned up after the dinner situation and changed into our night gowns, we made our way over to the room Aang and his friends were staying.
"What is that?" I asked Aang. His back was turned to us while he petted a beast in front of him from out the window.
When he realized we were standing behind him, he cried out before getting into a fighting stance. Toph leaned on the door frame with her arms crossed, "Relax. Look, I'm sorry about dinner. Let's call it truce, okay?"
After Toph called a truce, Aang dropped his stance. "Let's take a walk twinkle toes." When she left, Aang looked to his friends with a shrug before following after her.
I looked back to the two water tribe... siblings? They do look related. "Well... goodnight."
"Wait," the girl called. "Are you Toph's sister?"
When I didn't answer, she patted the spot next to her. After a moment, I sighed before walking over and sitting in the middle of them. "I'm not Toph's sister. I'm her cousin."
"I see." The girl nodded. "I didn't catch your name?"
"Thalia."
"I'm Katara."
"And I'm Sokka!"
I stood up, "Great. Goodnight now."
I was blocked at the door when my uncle came running in. "Toph's gone!"
I furrowed my brows, "What go you mean gone?"
"She and the Avatar aren't on the grounds! We checked everywhere!"
"Did you check the garden?" I asked, hoping he'd say no, to which he did.
"We'll find her Uncle, don't worry."
