Thalia (1)
We've been walking for miles and I'm so exhausted. I softly patted my mouth as I yawned. "You know what I think?"
"No, but I bet you're going to tell me." Toph faked a smile. I rolled my eyes. "I think we should stop and sleep somewhere."
When Toph suddenly stopped, the corner up my lip turned upward. "This is a good spot. Good eye, Toph." While I was about lie down, she grabbed my shirt and lifted me up.
She then hits the ground and sends rocks toward a boulder. Someone groans as dust picks up.
We run toward the scene, hopping onto the rock. On the ground, an old man was on his knees, rubbing his butt. "That really hurt my tailbone."

The old man - who's name is Iroh - Toph, and I walked a few more miles until Iroh found "the best spot for tea."
The sun was already setting and my ability to keep my eyes open was almost to none.
I watched as Iroh poured his tea in three cups. He handed the two to us, "Here is your tea." I took one of the cups and placed it down in front of me. When Toph ignored him, I nudged her. "Don't be rude."
Once Toph took the tea cup from Iroh, I thanked him.
"Are you two traveling together? You seem a little too young to be traveling on your own." Iroh said referring to only Toph.
"You seem a little too old." She retorted. Iroh simply laughed. "Perhaps I am."
"I know what you're thinking, I look like I can't handle being by myself."
"I wasn't thinking that."
"You wouldn't even let me pour my own cup of tea."
"I poured your tea because I wanted to and for no other reason." Iroh clarified. "People see me and think I'm weak. They wanna take care of me. But I can take care of myself by myself." Toph ranted. I only drank my tea and listened.
"You sound like my nephew. Always thinking you need to do things on your own without anyone's support. There is nothing wrong with letting people who love you, help you. Not that I love you, I just met you." Iroh corrected while pointing to her. I watched her in amusement as she laughed.
"So, where is your nephew?" Toph asked him.
"I've been tracking him, actually."
"Is he lost?"
Iroh looked away with a frown, "Yes, a little bit. His life has recently changed and he's going through very difficult times. He's trying to figure out who he is and he went away. A good thing is though, he has someone on his side right now who I think will truly help him. I know he doesn't want me around right now, but if he needs me, I'll be there."
"Your nephew is very lucky, even if he doesn't know it." Toph said.
"You are too." Iroh averted his eyes to me. When Toph looked at me, I put my arm around her. She smiled, "I know."
We both stood up and as I grabbed my bag from the floor, Toph told him 'Thank You.'
"My pleasure. Sharing tea with fascinating strangers is one of life's true delights." Iroh grinned.
"No, thank you for what you said. It helped me." Toph swung her bag over her shoulder then turned to leave. I did the same, but I looked back at Iroh one last time. "I think your nephew needs to hear that you need him too. It seems like family is all he has."
