Thalia (1)

Toph's and Katara's bickering continued throughout the night, ruining the little amount of sleep we could've gotten before the tank thing came back.

When we were on Appa for the second time that night, Toph and I watched the tank thing. Or should I say I was the one watching it...? "Seriously, what is that thing?" I asked while yawning. "And how does it keep finding us?" Toph added.

"I don't know, but this time, I'm going to make sure we lose them." Aang said.

After another couple hours of flying, Aang finally landed Appa at a spot that should be far enough from the tank thing.

"Okay, forget about setting up camp. I'm finding the softest pile of dirt and going to sleep." Sokka said. I was right with him on that one. I snuggled into my sleeping bag and closed my eyes.

"That's good because Toph wasn't gonna help anyway." Katara said. "Oh, I didn't realize baby still needed someone to tuck her in bed." Toph retorted.

I gritted my teeth before sitting up and pointing to the two girls. "Enough! I. Am. Tired. We all are! Katara, I'm sorry but stop complaining and shut up! And Toph, just freakin' help with something!"

"Great, you guys got her going now too." Sokka sighed. "C'mon guys, there's something after us and we don't even know what or who it is." Aang wearingly said. I plopped back down onto my back and placed my sleeping bag over my head.

"It could be Zuko and Ruka. We haven't seen them since the North Pole." Katara said. With my sleeping bag still over me, I asked with Toph, "Who's Zuko?"

"Oh, just some angry freak with a ponytail who's tracked us all over the world." Sokka responded. "What's wrong with ponytails, ponytail?" Katara joked.

"This is a warriors wolf tail." Sokka defended. "Well, it certainly tells the other warriors that your fun and perky!" Katara cheered. I snickered before asking about the other person Katara mentioned. "And Ruka?"

It was silent for a moment before Sokka started slowly, "She's our... sister." It seemed like a touchy subject so I didn't push it.

Momo started to chirp out noises continuously until our attention was on him. "Oh, don't tell me!" Sokka cried. "That's impossible. There's no way they could've tracked us." Aang said. "I can feel it with my own two feet!" Toph said.

We went to the edge of the cliff and looked down at the machine tank thing approaching us fast. "Let's get outta here." Katara said.

"Maybe we should face them," Aang suggested. "find out who they are. Who knows, maybe they're friendly."

Sokka slumped his shoulders, "Always the optimist."

The tanks cams to a halt in front of us and when the door opened on its side, three mongoose lizards ran out with a girl atop of each one.

I pouted, "They don't seem very friendly."

When their lizards started to crawl toward us, I got into a fighting stance. "It's those three girls from Omashu!" Katara exclaimed.  "We can take 'em!" Toph said. "Three on three!"

"Actually Toph, there's five of us." Sokka corrected her. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't count you or Thalia. Y'know, no bending and all." Toph shrugged.

"We can still fight!" Sokka defended the two us. "Okay, three on three plus Sokka and Thalia." Toph 'corrected' herself.

Sokka gritted through his teeth and I patted his shoulder, "You get used to it. Nice try though."

Toph bent several earth pillars to create an obstacle but the lizards just crawled over them. "Well, we wanted to find out who they were and we found out! Now let's get outta here!" Sokka grabbed onto my hand and led us back to Appa. Toph stayed back and tried to by us some time, which didn't turn out pretty well.

A bolt of lightning struck through the large rock wall Toph created and we all looked at it with shocked faces. One of the girls sent out daggers at Toph, which she swiftly blocked with a boulder. As Toph jumped back onto Appa, I sent out one of my throwing knives, successfully cutting the girl. She gritted her teeth at me and I wiggled my fingers at her.

"Appa, yip-yip!"

We barely escaped as the lightning girl sent out a jet of blue fire at us.

"I can't believe those girls followed us all the way from Omashu." Katara sighed.

"I still think we could've taken 'em!" Toph grumped.

"Are you kidding me? The crazy blue fire bending and the flying daggers are bad enough, but last time we saw them, one of those girls did something that took my bending away. That's scary!" Katara's eyes showed fear. From my little corner on the saddle, I said, "Chi blocking."

"That's what that is?" Katara asked. I nodded. "It does temporary damage. It's a really useful self-defense tactic."

"It took Thalia a few months to master it." Toph said. Katara's eyes widened, "You could do that?"

I nodded once again. "I only use it when it's necessary. It's painful sometimes."

"Oh no! The sun is rising!" Sokka cried. "We've been up all night with no sleep!"

"Sokka, we'll be okay." Aang reassured. "Are you sure?! I've never not slept before! What if I fall asleep now and something happens?! And something always happens!" Sokka panicked. I pulled on his ponytail to sit him down and he whined, "Hey!"

"If you don't shut up, I will literally Chi block you right now!" I threatened. Katara and Sokka looked to Toph to see if she was witnessing what I was doing. She shrugged, "She gets cranky when she's tired. Just don't be loud and she'll be the nice angel she was born to be." Toph hummed sarcastically. I pointed my finger at her, "I'll start with you."

"Okay, okay. Every time we land, those girls are there. So we'll just have to keep flying." Katara said. "We can't keep flying forever." Aang replied.
