Chapter 14

April 17

“Arelie!” Bea shouted up to her. Arelie groaned and rolled around in the bed. What in the world did Bea need? Arelie glanced at the clock beside her bed and nearly screamed. It was ten fifty. She hadn’t felt so good today so she skipped school today.

Most likely Tori would call and demand to know her excuse, but Arelie took off her phone. Tired of the problems surrounding her right now. Ben hadn’t called back, or bothered her and she found that vastly relieving than anything in her life right now.

“Elie!” Bea called again. Arelie huffed again and got up from the bed, making her way downstairs to her Aunt. She passed a hand through her hair, trying to tame the frizzy curls from her beauty sleep.

Bea was at the sink, marking something down in a notepad. Bea looked up and smiled sadly at Elie. She finished writing something down and put it to the side.

“Mornin’. How do you feel, lovey?” Bea asked, concern laced through her voice.

“Achy.” Elie shrugged. Bea nodded; she waited for more and then realized that Elie wouldn’t give her more. She sighed.

“Anyways, I’ve got to go out of state again, I need you to call me if anything, ok?” she asked.

Elie nodded, “Sure.”

“Also, I’ve written a list of the things we need. Household supplies. I calculated and estimated around how much you would need and it amounted up to seventy. I’ve left a hundred here,” she held up the bill, “And this is the list,” she lifted up the sheet she had been writing on.

“We need these.” Bea paused, glancing at Elie. “Please get them before Saturday, ok?”

Elie nodded. Bea bit her lip, worrying it until finally she blurted her concern. “I still think you should talk to him. It will probably help.”

Bea didn’t know what happened between them, but she knew that they weren’t talking. Of course, another hint had been when Trystan came over the first few days of their fight and try to talk to Elie, but Elie had denied him that opportunity.

Bea sighed when Elie didn’t respond again.

“Ok. Whatever. It’s your decision. I’m gonna go grab my suitcase and . . . I guess I’ll see you Saturday.” Bea said softly. Giving her a hug before starting towards the door. She paused, grabbing her suit case and glanced back. Elie still stood there.

Bea shook her head.

Elie would get over whatever they went through and start talking to him again; Bea had that feeling she would. She left, then.

Arelie watched her aunt walk away from her and sighed. She looked down at the list. It was almost eleven. This would be a great opportunity to get the supplies, everyone would be in school. She wouldn’t bump into anybody while doing this.

Quickly, she got dressed and headed out the door with the money and list in her bag. She grabbed her keys at the front and walked to her car. She went to the Super market close by.

Heading to the departments that she needed to go to she was able to pick up most of the supplies in around half an hour. She’d leave the rest of the supplies for another day. Wednesday maybe.

As Elie checked out and walked off to her car. She felt a presence behind her. She stiffened, not sure what to do. She was about to let out a scream when a hand wrapped around her wrist and twisted her to face him.

She stared back at the handsome face that had been in her mind often.
