Chapter 17

Arelie waited outside the door as Daniel and Principal Gene discussed what happened. Trystan barely had a scratch on him because Daniel couldn’t even throw in a punch. Arelie sighed and sat back. She looked at Trystan who had his head braced on the back of the chair and staring at the ceiling.

Arelie felt several emotions run through her; lust, love, frustration and admiration. Trystan was something she hadn’t expected when she came to Florida. She had never expected this.

Trystan happened to look at her just then and Arelie smiled softly at him. He hauled her from her seat into his lap. Sitting cross-legged on his lap, he cradled her to him and he breathed deeply as he leaned into her neck, kissing it.

“You shouldn’t have done it,” Arelie whispered. Trystan chuckled and nuzzled her neck again.

“How else am I supposed to vent my frustration?” he asked quietly. Arelie put her head on his shoulder.

Arelie shrugged. “Punch a punching bag? Squeeze something tight?” she suggested. He chuckled again. Elie leaned back and looked at his face and stroked his cheek. “I love you.” She breathed. Trystan went tense.

Oh God, Elie bit her lip, was I supposed to say that? Did I make I mistake? Will he forgive me?- all of her worrying thoughts stopped when Trystan crashed his lips against her and crushed her to him.

Arelie purred in his new found affection in her. She buried her hands in his hair and deepened the kiss. Their tongues mated with each other as their make-out session became more heated. Trystan turned her around and pulled her legs around his waist and laid kisses against her jaw and cheek.

She sighed in pleasure as he continued down her neck making her giggle as it became ticklish. She pulled back reluctantly, she watched as he frowned and held back another giggle.

When had she become . . . so carefree? Why was she suddenly giggling like a little girl who didn’t have her dad lusting after her, her life in danger?

She knew the answer immediately as she looked at him. Trystan was the cause of her happiness. Without him . . . Arelie mentally shook her head. There could not be a ‘without’ him. There wouldn’t, Elie thought determinedly.

She would gladly spend the rest of her life with Trystan.

“There going to come out any second.” She explained, moving off of his lap. Trystan sighed his agreement. She took the seat next to him, which she had been previously occupied in.

“Mr. Levi?” the principal’s office door was opened and revealed a frowning Daniel, but as soon as he passed Trystan on the way out he smirked that stupid smirk of his. Elie sighed in frustration.

Did he want to die?

Trystan entered the principal’s office and Elie wanted to protest. She didn’t want to be out here with Daniel. When she saw no way out to her dilemma she sat back and moaned inwardly.

“Your boyfriend’s in a sh!t load of trouble.” Daniel informed.

“Shut up,” Elie growled, turning away from him.

“Why are you even with him?” Daniel sneered. Elie sighed again.

Would he even shut up? For maybe, forever?

“Why does it matter to you? Can’t you get a life instead of digging into people’s?” Arelie snapped. Daniel suddenly moved closer to her, his brown hair moved out of his eyes, one eye red and swollen from a right hook from Trystan. Arelie held back a smirk of her own.

“Oh, princess, it does matter to me. It matters to a certain someone too.” He leaned “You should watch your back, love. All of your friends too.”

“What are you talking about?” Arelie demanded. Daniel shrugged.

“He’ll be back.” Was all Daniel said after he chuckled humorlessly and sat back.

.         .         .

After everyone had talked to the principal the principal invited them all into his office. Daniel, Arelie, and Trystan all sat down in the seats available.

“Alright. Well, Mr. Greene explained to me basically what occurred in the hallway.” Principal Gene sighed. “Trystan, this isn’t the first time you’ve been in my office. Daniel and Arelie, that’s another situation. I’m giving you both a warning.” Daniel grinned and Principal Gene snapped at him, “Does that deserve more?” he asked of Daniel’s grin.

Still grinning, Daniel shook his head. The principal sighed, he looked at Trystan. “Do you have anything to say?”

“No. Only that I was defending Arelie.” The principal frowned. Daniel’s smirk suddenly left his face.

“Before we get to that, I want to know why you all were out of class.” The principal said.

“Arelie and I have a good reason, sir.” Trystan interrupted, “We’d like to discuss it with you in private.”

The principal hesitantly nodded. He turned to Daniel “You?”

“I was in the bathroom, heading to class.” Daniel said smoothly. Trystan raised a brow. Daniel avoided contact with Arelie and Trystan. The principal nodded again.

“Alright, your off the hook, Brooks, this time.” the principal warned. Daniel nodded. “You may leave, go back to class.” Daniel left and Arelie and Trystan were left in the principal’s office.

“Ok,” the principal looked up and stared at Arelie and Trystan. “what was it that you wanted to talk about?”

Arelie and Trystan started explaining about the incident with Mr. Olly and Trystan’s intervention during the situation. Trystan’s face was evident of his anger and the principal quickly went from careless to seriousness. After the conversation with the principal dismissed them.

Class had been dismissed about half an hour ago. Trystan pulled Elie to him and held her hand. Arelie sighed and wrapped her arms around Trystan and sighed into him.

“So . . . can we still go to your surprise?” she asked, Trystan grinned suddenly. He looked down at his watch and nodded. He ushered her into his car and zoomed off.

They were going down a familiar path that Arelie had recalled going down with him. “Trystan . . .” she started warily.

“Yes, we’re meeting my gang. Again.” He smiled wryly.

Oh boy, Arelie thought.
