Chapter 19
Arelie and the entire gang sat at Trystan’s dinner table. They all bombarded her with questions and asked her how she met Trystan. They gave Trystan a few whistles sometimes, which surprisingly made him, flush.
His face was priceless when the guys heard about his love letter to Arelie. That was when Trystan stopped her from explaining more.
“Tricie!” Kyle groaned, “She was getting to the good part!” Kyle pouted.
“Love letters . . . takes a real man . . .” Carter shook his head solemnly, but he broke into a grin.
“It’s like a freakin’ foreign romance story book thingy!” Kyle supplied with a cheerful face.
“A foreign romance?” Arelie asked; Kyle nodded. Suddenly a light bulb went off in Elie’s head. “Oh my god!” she exclaimed suddenly. All the guys leaned forward; some were basically on her lap, until Trystan growled.
“You would be absolutely perfect for Tori!” Elie said excitedly. “Oh I have to get you two to meet! Oh, this is perfect!”
“Elie.” Trystan warned, with a hand on her thigh. Elie swatted him, and he winced.
“Don’t you see, Tori would be perfect for him!”
“Oh God! Not matchmaking!” Kyle complained.
“Out of the mouths of babes.” Carter murmured.
“Are you calling me a babe?” Kyle asked, his face beamed, “Carter, love, I had no idea you felt like that.”
“Get away from me.” Carter spat, moving away from Kyle.
“Seriously! She’s like another Jasmine!” Daren wined.
“What’s wrong with Jasmine?” Carter asked calmly. Everyone inhaled sharply, except for Elie, who was confused, and Trystan who was amused.
Everyone in the gang knew Carter was ‘over protective’ of Jas, but they all knew it was just another excuse for saying that he loved her, was in love with her. Jasmine felt the same way.
“Who keeps saying my name?” a petite voice called, “I don’t think I enjoy that much attention.”
Arelie turned to see a smaller, more feminine looking Julian. They must be brother and sister, she thought.
“Jasmine!” Kyle clapped, “Join the party! Meet Tricie’s new girlfriend.”
Jasmine smiled at Arelie in a sweet gesture that was friendly. Jasmine walked up to her. “I’m Jasmine, Julian’s sister.”
Arelie smiled, “Arelie, Trystan’s girlfriend.”
“I got that much.” Jasmine nodded with a grin. “So, what did I miss?”
Arelie watched as Jasmine flitted through the table all the way over to Carter who had pulled out a chair for her. Jasmine blushed and sat down, a tinge of red on her cheeks. It was obvious to the human’s eye that they both like each other but was too far apart in age.
Jasmine, Arelie had head – from Trystan – was only fifteen! Carter was twenty three, which was an eight year difference! They’d apparently have to wait until she’s older!
