A/N: I don't know if I need to say again but this is still Lucas POV.

I was at home.

Ness had found me.

Feeling the soft bed sheets beneath my hands made me feel safe and a familiar scent that covered them, filled my body with comfort.

Slowly, I opened my eyes, only to be met with Ness' empty bedroom. It was silent as a faint breeze flooded into the room. I brought the bed covers closer to me as i looked over to the window. Unfortunately, the sun was still beaming, causing my headache to return. Strangely, I still felt tired. So I decided to go back to sleep before Ness returned. I moved my legs up a bit, as I did so they clicked. That wasn't exactly a good sign.

I was relieved that Ness had found me but I would have thought he would have stayed with me until I woke up... I guess not. I let out a small sigh before heading back to sleep. It was only a light one though, since my headache was making it hard for me to relax.

About 20 minuets had passed before I heard the bedroom door open. It was Ness! I immediately woke up to his arrival. I watched as Ness carefully walked over to the bed and kneeled down next to me. I don't think he knew that I was awake. He gently ran his hand across one of my arms. His hands were cold for once, I thought it was a bit weird, my hands were usually the cold ones so feeling Ness' cold hands was a surprise.

Gently, Ness took hold of one of my hands and gripped it slightly. I darted my eyes down to our hands. It was probably just my vision since it was still a bit blurry but Ness' fingernails seemed longer and all of the marks on his hands had gone.

"Lucas." He whispered softly, finally noticing that I was awake. "Are you okay?" He asked. Unfortunately, I couldn't reply as I had still lost my voice so I just nodded in response.

I was telling the truth this time. I mean there were a few bruises on my side but other than that I was fine, maybe just a bit shaken... that's all.

"Are you sure?" He asked. I nodded once again. If Ness didn't believe me then he would have just said so without asking so many questions. "Sorry." He apologized "I-I was just so worried about you, that's all." I gave Ness a reassuring smile as I gripped his hand. "Y-you should really get some rest." Ness advised "Don't worry, I'll be here with you." With Ness being here I felt more safe so I was thankful that he decided to stay. I gave him one last smile before drifting off to sleep again.

I was probably asleep for 15 minuets before being woken up by Ness calling my name worryingly.
"Lucas, are you awake?" He asked.
"Mm, now I am." I sighed quietly.
"O-oh sorry, did I wake you? Sorry, I shouldn't have." Ness apologized. I don't know if it was just me but Ness was apologizing too much.
"It's fine, really."
"You sure? I feel kinda bad." I nodded and smiled as I sat up.

There was a small pause. I stared at Ness for a moment. My vision was no longer blurry , however, something was still wrong. As I looked at Ness I noticed that his deep purple eyes were now grey and dilated and I had never noticed that Ness had freckles before.

I think Ness noticed that I was staring at him for a while.
"You know, I was worried about you to." I admitted. Ness responded by giving me a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around his back, rested my head on his shoulder and sighed. "What happened anyway?" I asked.
"Once I knew you were missing, I searched all around town for you. I eventually found you in one of the alleyways, unconscious." Ness explained. I took my hands away from him and brought my legs out from underneath the covers. I swivelled my body around so that I was sitting on top of the bed. Ness was still kneeling on the floor.
"Did you see anyone else there?" I enquired.
"No... it was just you." Ness replied, pushing himself up onto the bed to sit next to me.

"Why would you ask that?" Ness asked
"I-It's just that the person who took me was there when I woke up. I didn't manage to see him though." I replied
"What did he do?"
"Nothing major, he just said a few things... but I was trying to get back to you, I really was."
"What did he say?"
"You know... stuff."
"What did he say?" Ness repeated, sounding more serious. If I'm honest, I felt scared not to tell him.
"Stuff like... how I'm useless and worthless and how nobody cares about what happens to me... you know, stuff." I explained. Ness didn't respond. I didn't know if he was shocked or angry or what. I didn't know.

I didn't know what to say after that. We just kind of sat in silence. "I-I don't understand why anyone would say that." I added, trying to break the silence . Ness' silence made everything I was saying sound stupid. It wasn't part of a conversation, it was just there.

"That's because you are." Ness said very clearly. I heard what he had said. It couldn't have been mistaken.
"W-what!" I exclaimed "w-what are you saying!?"
"I'm saying ... that all of the things that were said to you are true." He said solidly.

I didn't understand why Ness would betray me like this. I didn't want to believe it. How could he say that he loved me and then go and stab me in the back like this?

"So I try my hardest to get back to you and I'm given this!" I shouted as I got up from the bed.
"Lucas! Don't lie to me!" Ness snapped "you weren't trying at all!" Ness stood up and towered over me intimidatingly. I wasn't going to back down. I wasn't going to stand for this.

"How do you know !?"I asked. Ness didn't respond. Then I had realised something. I didn't want to believe it ... but I wasn't going stay quiet. I turned to Ness sharply. "You were there... weren't you!?" I said,
Once again, Ness didn't respond. "You were there!"

I usually didn't want to cry in front of Ness but right now I didn't care! He was there, he was watching... and he did nothing! I felt hurt. Ness had told me that he loved me. Was he really manipulating me this whole time?

"I-I can't stay here... I don't care where I go, as long as I'm away from you!" I stated as I tried to hold back the tears in my eyes. I pushed Ness away from me and headed towards the bedroom door.

Without warning, Ness grabbed my wrist. My heat sunk to my stomach. I didn't know what Ness was trying to do but What I did know was that I couldn't overpower him. I tried to pull away as I began to hear a frantic knocking on the door downstairs. The feeling of panic flooded my body. What was going on?

"I'm sorry I have to break your heart." Ness apologised as he violently pulled me towards him.
"W-whats going on?" I gasped as I stumbled back.
"I'm serious... I meant that very literally." He said before putting one of his arms around my chest, restricting the use of my right arm.
I tried to struggle free with my free hand, trying to push Ness' arm away. It was hopeless... but I had to keep trying. If Ness had taught me one thing, it was to never give up
