A/N: This chapter is kinda the beginning of the end. Yes this story does have an end... and it will be in a few more chapters (and when I say 'few' I mean more than 5)

Hm?
I wonder.

Through the night I was thinking to myself, about things I wanted to do, things I was planning to do and things I had to do.

Everything was fine. For these few minutes, everything was fine.

I was awoken by a cold breeze. I had no idea what time it was, if I were to take a guess it was probably one or two in the morning and as I sat up, I couldn't find Lucas. It was dark and I couldn't see anything around me.

"Lucas?" I called as I rubbed my eyes to adjust to the darkness.

Lucas was leaning against leaning against the windowsill above my bed and was staring out of the window. "Lucas,What are you doing?" I asked. He didn't respond. He was thinking about something.

I shuffled closer to him. "Are you okay?" I enquired, noticing small tears in his eyes. "Lucas?"
"Ah! S-sorry." He quickly apologized as he wiped the tears away "I-I just couldn't get to sleep." Lucas explained.
"Are you thinking about Claus?" I asked.
"Yeah." He sighed sadly "But that's not the reason why I can't get to sleep."
"What's is it then?"
"I have a really bad headache, it's stopping me from sleeping."

Gently, I leaned against Lucas, who was still staring out of the window.
"It'll be okay." I reassured as I put my hand on top of Lucas'.

To my surprise, Lucas' hands were burning hot. I even had to take my hands away.

I was about to ask if he was feeling okay but it looked like he had called asleep whilst leaning on his hand. Huh? How weird.

"Uh Lucas?" I whispered "I thought that you couldn't get to sleep."

I didn't want to wake him up as getting sleep was a good thing but something just felt wrong.

Carefully, I laid back down onto the bed and pulled the covers over me, leaving Lucas where he was as I didn't want to disturb him and I eventually fell asleep.

Without warning, Lucas woke up in a panic.
"Ness! I-I-" He stammered
"Lucas what's wrong? I thought you had gone to sleep." I pointed out.
"No, I-I passed out!" He cried
"Did you!" I exclaimed. Lucas looked like he was about to reply but was interrupted by some sort of pain. He put his hand to his head and began to sweat before crying out in agony.

"What's the matter?" I asked
"I-I don't know!" He cried "This isn't like the other times!"
"Other times?" I enquired.
"I've had headaches and fevers before, but nothing like this." He explained.
"Fevers." I pointed out "Lucas come here for a sec."

Carefully, Lucas shuffled over to me and was now facing me. Gently, I put my hand to his forehead. His head was burning hot. He definitely had a fever.

"Lucas, when you say, 'other times' what do you mean ?" I asked. Lucas pulled my hand away as his head began to hurt again.
"The other times weren't as bad as this, I would just get hot and tired but this is ten times worse!" Lucas explained.
"The only thing I can say is try and get some sleep." I suggested.
"I'll try." Lucas whispered in response.

Lucas and I both settled back into bed however, I could tell that Lucas was having a hard time getting comfortable as he kept moving around and changing positions.

Ten minutes had passed, before I was woken up by the sound of Lucas sneezing uncontrollably. I sat up once again to see Lucas shivering and leaning against the windowsill again.
