Quickly, I wiped my tears away as I could hear Lucas' footsteps on the damp grass as he walked over to me happily.
"I-I just came out here t-to get some fresh air... t-that's all." I lied as I pushed myself up from the ground. After Lucas had ran to me as he tilted his head to one side.
"Why are you so jumpy all of a sudden?" Lucas asked.I couldn't do it.
I turned to Lucas and hugged him. He was surprised by my sudden act of affection.
"I-I was just so worried about you. I-I'm so glad that you're safe." I stammered.
"I'm glad that you're safe too." Lucas smiled as he wrapped his arms around me.Slowly, Lucas pulled away and took hold of my shoulders. "Come on, you must have had some confidence in me." He grinned.
"Of course I did!" I tried to smile. It was painful to see how unaware and oblivious Lucas was. I know that he didn't know about it but seeing him so happy was torture.
"Huh? Ness, you're shaking!" Lucas pointed out. "Are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine." I answered. I really wasn't.
"Are you sure? You can tell me if you're hurt." Lucas tried to reassure. I sighed.
"I-It's just that everything I've found out today has kinda taken me back, like how you're supposed to be 5000 years in the future! And that you had Psi! And the fact that Porky was alive and was running an entire city!" I exclaimed.
"Well I didn't know that you're supposed to be from the past either!" Lucas added. "The Psi thing is my fault though...I should have told you but I thought that something like this would happen if I did. It turns out that getting captured by Porky would happen anyway." He sighed.
"It's fine. I mean I wasn't really planning on telling you about my Psi either, so I guess we're equal." I explained. Lucas smiled.Gently, he put his arm around my shoulder comfortingly before lightly kissing my cheek.
"Thanks for standing up for me." Lucas thanked quietly.
"Ah, you don't need to thank me." I smiled "I'll always stand up for you."
Lucas blushed as he took his arm away from my shoulder and leaned against me.
Lucas had calmed me down and I was thankful for that."What happened to Porky?" I asked as I looked around.
"The soldiers completely rebelled and are going to get rid of Porky! Follow me!" Lucas beamed happily as he took my hand and pulled me back up the hill."Wha- w-where are we going!?" I cried out. Lucas didn't reply. He just smiled excitedly.
There was a small group of soldiers outside that were pulling a rope that was tied to something heavy in the hallway.
"Look! Look! Look!" Lucas smiled as he pointed to the soldiers.Eventually, Porky's shield was revealed but had gotten stuck in the broken doorway. The soldiers kept pulling the rope that was tied around it and another group were behind the massive shield, trying to push it through the doorway.
"This building wasn't designed for me to leave idiots!" Porky insulted.
"Does it look like we care!" One of the soldiers shouted.
"We just want you gone!" Another added.Lucas watched excitedly as the soldiers behind Porky pushed the shield until large cracks began to form on the wall. Lucas started to giggle to himself. You could see the stars in his eyes as he watched.
All of a sudden, the wall collapsed. The soldiers in front pulled Porky through the rubble and to the edge of the island.
"Ness, wait for it!" Lucas grinned."Do you idiots really think that throwing me in the ocean is gonna get rid of me!" Porky yelled "it won't do shit!"
"Say that when you're stuck at the bottom of the ocean!" One of the soldiers shouted.
"When I get back on land I won't hesitate to kill you all!" Porky threatened as he was pushed closer to the edge.
"How are you gonna do that without your precious army?" The soldier asked. Porky didn't reply. He couldn't reply. Instead he focused his attention to Lucas.
