A/N: oof sorry this took a while
To publish. Also, I don't know if to make the chapters longer but anyway here's the next chapter.

An hour had passed, Lucas and I were
talking about Ninten, making a plan if we ever saw him again.
"There's gotta be a way to get him back." I thought out loud.
"I wouldn't know." Lucas sighed.

We were sitting on the spare mattress with our backs against the bed frame.
"I wonder where he is now." I wondered.
"You must miss him a lot." Lucas added quietly.
"Yeah... I'm starting to miss his arrogant attitude and funny remarks." I replied. Lucas laughed a little. "That's the only time you'll hear me say that."
"How long have you two been friends?" Lucas asked.
"A year now, but it feels like it's been longer than that." I smiled.
"You two seem pretty close then huh,"
"Yeah, I was devastated after what happened this morning."
"I bet." Lucas sighed as he brought his knees up to his chest and rested his head on his knees.

"Same thing happened to your brother... right." I asked. I didn't mean to bring it up ... I swear.  Suddenly,  Lucas' head perked up.
"Uhh... Yeah." He said as shifted his eyes away from mine.
"I feel really bad bring this up but... you didn't... kill your brother, did you?" Okay I'll admit, at this point I had no control over what I was saying, like I usually do.
"Mostly no ... but it was my fault that he uh died." Lucas replied with no hesitation.  Any normal person would have stopped asking questions... but no I had to continue.

"Mostly?" I asked
"Would you have rather that I had said not at all." He replied. I couldn't reply with anything after that.

"Are you in that mood again?" I enquired
"Unfortunately yes." Lucas answered.  Lucas' mood could change very quickly. One minute he would be smiling and laughing and then the next he would be all depressed.

"I just wanna be left alone." He sighed
"I-I mean I-I can leave... if you want." I stuttered
"No!..no. Sorry I-I'm being all confusing." Lucas Apologized.
"That doesn't matter. What do you want to happen?" I asked. Lucas paused for a moment.
"I-I want you T-to stay here with me... if you want to of course." He stammered.
"Then it's settled! I'm staying!" Lucas turned to me with a look of disbelief.
"What!? Just because I want you to." He cried out.
"Yeah, I mean why wouldn't I." I smiled
"Y-you Don't have to." Lucas said quietly. I put my hand on Lucas' shoulder reassuringly.
"It will make you feel better." I explained.
"Yeah... I guess it will." Lucas sighed.

Lucas inched closer to me as he began to hum a familiar tune. It was a nice simple tune that I swore that I had heard before.

Then it clicked.

Lucas was humming the eight melodies song ! I first heard the song when Ninten played it to me on his ocarina one day. I was always very fond of the tune. It was simple, sweet and easy to sing along to.

"Wait!" I interrupted. Lucas stopped humming immediately and looked at me in confusion. "How do you know song?" I asked.
"I dunno, I just kind of heard it." He replied.
"Well the only people who should know about that song is Ninten and I!" I explained.
"Woah, calm down. Stop getting so worried over a little tune." Lucas tried to reassure.
"I find it funny that you're saying that to me." I giggled.
"A-at least I worry about important things!"
Lucas began to protest.
"Oh please, you get worried and flustered every time I kiss you." I pointed out. Lucas crossed his arms in an annoyed manner.
"Okay... I can't disagree with you there but it's not like humming a little tune is the end of the world." He admitted.
"Well it would have been if it wasn't for that song!" I explained. Lucas looked to me with a shocked expression. He wasn't expecting to hear that.  "So really, where did you hear it?" I asked again.
"Nowhere imparticular, Ive heard it being played around the city a few times though." Lucas answered.
"City?" I questioned. Lucas had never mentioned a city on Nowhere island before.
