Chapter Seventeen (WOW! :O)

“Where have you been all week?” Adam asked down the phone as I finished washing the dishes. He hasn’t been able to come round all week because his grandmother and father were round and he wasn’t able to come out.

I picked the phone up and turned it off loudspeaker. “It’s Mia, she doesn’t want to go, but I’m making her go next week as Constablee have told me that they can’t have her as it’s full.” I told him with a sigh.

All week she had been begging me that we don’t take her, so on Wednesday I rang up Constablee and asked if she could go there. They said no but hopefully she’ll want to go, because I can’t have anymore day’s off from college. I’ve already missed so much that I’ve had to drop Law, just so that I can spend extra time on the other three.

“Right, well me, Poppy and Dean are coming round in an hour or so,” he informed me

“Okay then, love you.”

“Love you too.” He replied, making my insides melt.

I ended the call and placed it on the counter before going into the living room where Mia was sat colouring. “You okay baby?” I interrupted her as I sat down on the sofa nearest her.

She nodded her head, not looking up to me as she tried colouring in between the lines. The house phone rang, making me jump slightly. I went over to the window and picked it up off the line. “Hello?”

“Georgie, it’s your mum.”

“Yeah I got that, what?” I wondered as I sat back down.

“I’m staying at Gordon’s tonight, what are you doing?” She informed me and I smiled at my chance.

“Well…Poppy, Dean and Adam are coming round and I was going to ask Julie if she could have Mia for the night…” I trailed off. I never want Mia to be burdened with anyone else, but I honestly feel like we need a small break from each other because we have been constantly in each other’s company and we haven’t spent so long together in ages because Julie used to have Mia for a weekend every month and she hasn’t done that yet.

“Yeah? You don’t need to do that. I’ll have her; we’ll take her out somewhere.” My mum offered and the smile on my face grew bigger.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, we’ll be there in five minutes.” She told me before hanging up. I smiled broadly and put the phone back on the hook.

“Mia, are you coming so we can go and pick a bag? You’re sleeping at Gordon’s tonight,” I told her and the smile on her face lit up immediately. Gordon was fairly rich and as he hasn’t yet got any kids, he likes to spoil Mia, myself and my mum.

“Yay!” she screamed as she ran up the stairs. I nodded my head slightly at her ability to still smile in the current situation.

Ten minutes later and we were sat back in the living room with a back full and Mia bouncing on the sofa in excitement.

“Georgie, Mia?” My mum called from the hallway and Mia shot up straight away. “Hey beautiful.” My mum cried happily as she wandered into the room with Mia in her arms squirming and Gordon behind her.

“Hey,” I said as they sat down.

“You ready?” Gordon said to Mia as he crouched down to her level and handed her a lollipop.

“Yeah!” she screeched taking it from him. “Thank you!”

“No problem, are we ready?” he asked, getting up to his normal height of six foot and looking at my mum.

She nodded her head, “Seems so.”

I bent down and gave Mia a kiss and a hug, “Be good.”

She kissed me on the cheek before skipping out with my mum. I walked them to the door and closed it behind them before sitting back down. I turned Supernatural the season seven finale on and curled up in a ball waiting for them to turn up.

I wiped the tears from my eyes when Bobby finally went and crawled to the door to let them all in.

“Hey, you okay?” Adam asked, bringing me into his arms as Poppy and Dean wandered round us.

I nodded my head, “Yeah, Bobby just died…for good,” I sobbed.

He chuckled, “Oh right. I thought something was seriously wrong at first!” He scolded me jokingly.

I stood away from him, pretending to be annoyed and wandered back into the living room and pressed play. I made them all sit in silence for the last twenty minutes or so as I watched the rest.

When it finished, I sat there is shock. Dean…Dean is in purgatory? Holy crap!

“Finished now?” Dean joked and I sent him a glare. Wow, it feels like I’m a teenager with no worries again!

“Yeah, now why did you interrupt my evening?” I asked jokingly.

Adam got up, “Well, I can go…” he trailed off, but sat down immediately when I pulled him back down. As soon as he landed, I snuggled into him comfortably.

“So what you really doing here?” I asked seriously.

Poppy looked at me, “Aren’t we allowed to visit you?” she asked in a shocked tone.

“No.” I deadpanned jokingly.

“Where’s Mia?” Adam asked, “I haven’t heard her yet and it’s making me worry.”

“She’s gone with my mum to Gordon’s, it’ll do her good to get out,” I responded and he nodded.

“Right, can we get a take away, I’m starving. And I am keeping a close eye on it this time,” Dean asked, giving myself and Poppy evils, making us both laugh, from the previous memory which was ruined by Justin’s unwanted arrival, later that night.

“Yeah, what do you want?” Poppy asked.

“I’m having Chinese, I think you?” I told them. “I’m getting Chicken Fried Rice from Sunny’s.”

“Oh, what a surprise,” Poppy retorted sarcastically.

We all ordered different things more or less. Poppy ordered Indian and Adam and Dean ordered a pizza and burger with extra chips each.

The night went quite fast. We watched a few movies and me and Poppy drank a bottle of wine between us, while the boys had some cans that Dean bought. I actually needed something like this so much, I didn’t think I needed this much, but I feel so relaxed now, ready to feel the wrath of college on Monday!

I climbed into my bed and curled up to Adam, laying my head on his bare chest. His arms wrapped around me, making me feel safe. I felt him kiss my head as I snuggled closer into him.

“Love you Georgie.”

I smiled, “Love you more.”
