Hey!

Look out for the POV change!

Chapter Twenty-Two

“Stupid traffic jam.” I muttered under my breath as I parked into Mia’s primary school car park. Poppy looked a little pee’d off as well when we arrived – fifteen minutes late. I bet the poor souls are sat there bored out their heads. I wandered into the school to see Liam sat there. “Hey Liam, where’s Mia?” I asked.

“She went ages ago with a man.” He told me on the verge of tears. She what?

“What happened?” I asked frantically.

He shrugged his shoulders and started to cry again, so Poppy brought him into her arms and I felt a little guilty for raising my voice at him. Thoughts started to whirl around my head with the worst possible scenarios: kidnapped, murdered…raped? But I shook my head of such silly thoughts, I mean who is sick enough to do that?

I poked my head around the corner of the school office to see a woman sat there. “Where’s Mia?” I yelled startling her and making her place her apple down on the counter.

“Did she not go with her dad?” She wondered confused, a slight look of boredom and I shook my head.

“No! Her dad lives in France!” I lied, getting more and more worried. If Justin has taken her he’s going to the police. This is one step to far this time. Yeah you can do whatever the hell he wanted with me, but touch Mia without getting my permission and that’s it. I have had too much stress recently to be dealing with this. I mean, if he ‘cared’ about me, he would ask, to try and show me that he is capable of being a father, which I doubt he is.

Her face fell and she looked anywhere but me, making me more angry. “Do you want me to ring the police?” She asked after a few moments and I nodded my head.

“Obviously!” I didn’t know who was the bigger moron, the secretary or Justin.

Justin’s POV

As we drove away, the little brat was sat in the car looking at me like I was some sort of alien, making me angry. “Do you know who I am?” I asked cautiously, making sure I kept my eyes on the road. Even though I don’t care about it, I don’t want her hurt until Georgie has agreed to be with me forever.

She shook her head. “No, can we go see Mummy?” She asked sweetly and I felt a little sad that she lost her eye but regained myself quickly, I didn’t care about this girl, remember that Justin! She is nothing to you!

“Do you have a daddy?” I asked after regaining my composure.

She nodded her head. “Yeah, but mummy makes me call him Adam.” She spoke and my hands clenched on the steering wheel. Adam Barnes. The fucking asshole, worming his way in, trying to get with my girl. After today, Georgie will see that I am the guy for her and that we’re soul mates and she will leave Mia in the adoption centre and we can go and travel the world, I am sure my mum and dad will give me some money if I convince them hard enough.

“Do you know why mummy makes you call him Adam?” I questioned, looking ahead so I don’t crash the car. I think she’s had enough of them. I smiled at my own little joke.

“No.”

“It’s because you already have a daddy.” I told her and her face scrunched up in confusion. “I’m your daddy.” I told her and she shook her head, making my anger boil up to dangerous levels! Yes I am your dad! Can’t you see it!

“I don’t have a daddy.”

“Yes you do!” I shouted and she suddenly started crying. I rolled my eyes but kept telling myself that as soon as she was gotten rid of, Georgie and I would be perfect together. If you touch her, she might get clingy and you don’t want that. Just keep focused on the situation. I turned my CD on and put on All Time Low, turning the volume up to drown out her cries as we drove onwards until I could ring Georgie.

It took way too long for her to stop crying, but once she did, she looked at me, her eye watery and her face puffy. “Are you my daddy?” She whispered, her voice hoarse.

I nodded my head. “Yes, I am your daddy.”

“Where did you go?” She questioned further and I racked my brain for a decent answer, just to keep her sweet until later.

“I went to a daddy camp. Adam was just my replacement.” I told her in a fake sweet voice as I parked into a Subway that was near Cheetham Hill, just far enough to get something to eat – for both of us – and enough time to eat it before Georgie turns up.

“What’s a repacemunt?” She asked, struggling to say ‘replacement’ which is just stupid. I mean, who can’t say that one word? The car crash must have knocked other parts of her brain as well. I chuckled again at my own joke before turning to her in the car.

“It means that Adam was just pretending to be your daddy until I came home.” I told her as nicely as I could. “Now, do you want Subway?”

She frowned, oh what now? “Can’t we go to McDonald’s?” She asked, looking up at the Green and Yellow sign with a hint of disgust, like she knows what that is.

I shook my head, “no, we’re going here. Does Geor- your mum not take you here?” I asked and she shook her head.

“No, we go to McDonalds, and I get chicken nuggets and chips and a fruit shoot!” She told me happily, bouncing on her seat and I felt the urge to just leave her in here while I go and get just myself something to eat but I resisted and got out of the car, going around to her side and unbuckling her seat belt, carrying her inside so that we can get there faster.

Once I got her a ham buttie, a fruit shoot and a bag of crisps, and myself the foot long sub of the day, a large coke and a bag of cheese and onion crisps, I sat down with her and pulled my phone out. It said that I had fifteen missed calls from Georgie, making me smile. I knew she missed me. As I was about to ring her, she rang me and so I answered it happily. “Hey Georgie.” I greeted.

“Don’t you hey me, you sick bastard! Return Mia to the primary school safely and I won’t get the police involved.” She threatened and I nearly ended the call but decided to stay calm.

“Mia is safe with me. I have told her that I am her daddy and that Adam was a replacement whilst I was at Daddy camp and she understands. We are in Subway, the one near Cheetham Hill. Please come, alone and we can deal with her.” I told her, ignoring her threats. I wanted to be with Georgie and she will not be with me if we are both shouting at each other. We need one of us to stay calm.

“You did what?” She screeched down the phone angrily. “Adam is not a replacement! Adam is her dad! No one else will ever be that Justin! You’re just a sperm donor, that’s all you’ll ever be in the waste of your life! Just return her and you won’t be handed into the police!” She warned again and I sighed.

“The police aren’t there.” I chuckled, taking a big bite out of sandwich, hanging up the phone. I am just going to go to the primary school; just to prove that she hasn’t rang the police. She would never do that. She loves me. She just, for some unknown reason, cares about the little brat I seem to be towing around with me. Well, as soon as she sees me in my best gear, she’s gonna want to stay with me and choose me over everyone, including the brat and Adam Barnes.

Hey! (:

So Justin’s a little crazy isn’t he? Hahahah :D
