Epilogue (Read the Author's Notes at the end please!) :)

"Mum, are you awake?" Mia asked shoving me lightly.

"Aww Mia, you know I like my sleep," I moaned groggily as my eyes fluttered open.

"Come on, dad has a surprise for you," she urged yanking the covers off the bed. I groaned as I sat up and stretched my limbs.

"Your lucky I love you," I joked as I pulled my robe around me, snuggling in the warmth that circled me.

"Just hurry," she ordered as she ran from the room. For twelve years old she sure was a pain in my ass sometimes.

Last week I finally graduated from university, Adam and I were still growing strong and Mia had adapted better than I could have ever imagined with sight in one eye. It hadn't slowed her down whatsover and she fitted into life at school better than I ever thought she would.

With my slippers on, I wandered down the stairs in our new home, that was down the street from my mum, as she wouldn't let us move any further.

Life literally couldn't get any better.

"Morning sleepy head," Adam teased as he placed a bowl of Cheerio's in front of me. Mia then placing a glass of orange next to me.

"Ha ha ha," I muttered sarcastically. "To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Adam glanced at Mia before shrugging his shoulders, "nothing."

I glanced between them both, knowing they were both lying but let it drop, it was obviously meant to be a secret so I'll let them keep it that way.

"Okay, well thank you," I smiled, grateful at the gesture.

"Dad said he would have given it to you in bed but he thought you might have dropped it and spilled it over the bed covers," Mia admitted smirking.

"Way to drop me in it Mia," Adam joked as he pecked me on the lips.

"When is my mum dropping off Jamie?" I asked when I finished my breakfast.

"At ten," Adam told me as he cleared my bowl away.

Jamie is Adam and mine's six year old son. When I took a year out I found that I was pregnant again, yes it wasn't ideal but he was perfect and everything worked out fine, plus with Adam being a fully trained doctor, we weren't poor and with me starting a teaching job at Mia's high school in September, things couldn't have been better.

"Good, I miss my baby," I cooed as we all.wandered into the kitchen.

"I can't wait to see you with him when you teach him, you'll be that one mum who embarrasses him won't you?" He smirked and I nodded my head.

"Of course, the kid has no chance when I'm around," I laughed.

"We'll have to warn him now, won't we Mia?" Adam joked shoving her lightly in the ribs making her giggle.

"Sod Jamie, what about me?" She practically yelled, a frightened look on her face.

"You have no chance kiddo either," I laughed.

"Please mum, I like my friends," she whined.

"Behave in lessons and do your homework and the photos shan't come out," I promised when in reality I knew she was one of the best behaved kids out there. She had her first year of high school last year and she loved it, always getting good grades in everything, she was a bright spark this one, no doubt about that. I don't know a prouder mum. After everything she had been through, she had come out stronger than ever before.
