until his body was beyond exhausted,

'til his soul was ripped apart.

He collapsed to the ground

It was time to go

He knew this day would come.

He knew from the very start

he would lose

but it was better to die trying,

rather than die doing nothing at all.

He looked back at the frowning sun

but he didn't care.

because at that moment,

he felt as if he succeeded,

nonetheless.


He laid there

taking in the lovely view,

breathing in the sweet air,

and listening to the soft humming

of the birds.

With his last breath,

he spoke:

"ai gonplei ste odon"
