Raven sat on Crows bed and rubbed her stomach. It had gotten larger and more round. Not quite noticeable but deffently there.
Crow sat beside her, his arm around her shoulders.
"I need to go out on the hunting patrol, don't let anyone in this room....not even for food. Do you understand?" Crow asked.
"Yes. Don't let anyone in, not even food. " She said, looking at him her greyish blue eyes wide.
"Good girl... I'll be back soon." He stood up and walked to the door.
"Be safe." He said before he walked out, closing the door. She stood up and locked it. Before going back to the bed, she went and stared out the window, the one she had first used to escape...the day she was raped.
She saw Crow standing there, naked. With some other pack members, Clare and Jared, who were also named. She looked away in disgust. Even though she couldn't see anything.
Then she looked back. Two huge black wolves and one grey one replaced the humans. She saw Crow, she'd reconize him anywhere. She watched them run off. Sighing, she wished she could be a wolf and remember it.
She looked around the room. Bored. She saw a MP3 player. With head phones. She smiled and grabbed it. Hitting play. She put both earbuds in. Loosing herself in the music.
9 hours later, 3 am.
Raven woke up, bolting to the washroom. Leaning over the rim of the toilet she spewed up her stomach juices.
Morning sickness.
After she was done she stood and went to the bed, and layed down. Looking at the ceiling.
She heard the knob jinggle. She bolted up, staring at the door. Fingering the cold mental of the knife Crow left her.
The door creaked open and a figure walked in.
"Raven?" The figure asked. Female. Aunt Clarrisa.
Raven relaxed, but only slightly.
"Yes?" She asked.
"K brought you some food....its not much..." Clarrisa held up a small bowl of meat.
She held it out. Raven looked in the bowl. The meat was wet looking, and smelt weird.
"What is it?" She asked.
"It's raw beef....I'm sorry if I cooked it the pack would know...."
"Why are you doing this?" Raven asked, taking the meat.
"You....you were just like her. James and Dad's sister. She was also named Raven.... My dad did the same thing he did to you....tortured her because she hid a rougue wolf... He was handsome...and I think they fell in love. She escaped and no one saw her again."
"Oh...." Raven grabbed the meat, wincing at the slightly slimy feeling. She bit into it. A salty taste and the juices coated her tongue.
It was surprisingly good. But that could just be the wolf.
"Of course she wasn't pregnant like you..." Clarrisa went on.
Raven choked. "You know?" She asked.
"Of course. Crow and I are the only ones."
Raven let out a sigh of relief.
"Thanks." She mumbled.
"Your welcome. Now get some sleep. Crow should be back any minute."
Clarrisa left, closing the door.
Raven stood and locked it. Her hand still holding her knife.
She sat and devoured the meat. Feeling the juices spill from her mouth.
She layed down again and dozed off.
3:45 am
Raven woke up, staring at a black form, her face was squished against it and it was hard.
"Stop moving." The form growled.
"....Crow?" Raven asked.
"Yes, now shut up. Go to sleep."
She nodded and leaned in again, liking the feeling of warmth.
"What are you doing?"
"Trying to sleep."
He snorted.
She laughed, then closed her eyes.
"Night."
"Night."
Then she fell asleep again.
4:40 am
She heard yelling and growling. The door slammed. She rolled over.
"Hmmmm?" She asked.
"Nothing, go back to sleep." Crow said, laying down beside her.
"You have a big day tommorow...." He said, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. "You're leaving tomorrow kiddo." He said.
But he said it to himself, as she had fallen back asleep.
5 am
Raven woke up, her head killing her.
"Hey? Crow?" She called out.
"Yeah kiddo?" Crow asked, pooping his head into the room.
"Clarrisa came into the room and gave me some meat." She said.
"I can see that... You have blood all around your mouth...it's all browny and crusted."
"Oh...."
She went to the sink and washed her face. The white cloth stained red.
"Your stuff is all packed...it's only a small back, but theres a change of clothes, a hairbrush, Medicine... And some food. Be safe... Remember find the vampires tell them I sent you. Also avoid the forest." Crow handed her a bag and pushed her out the window. She looked back at him. He pushed her again. She ran, not looking back.
Her feet were killing her. She was tired and hungry but she didn't dare stop. Not yet.
"Who are you?" A voice hissed. Male.
"Raven Redbird..."
"That mewling pack of weaklings." Another voice hissed female.
"Crow sent me to find the vampires....he said they'd help me....do you know them?"
"We are them." Another voice said, male.
Raven looked around, her hand moving over her stomach, protecting her baby.
"Why did that desgusting mutt send you?"
"He didn't say, but I'm guessing for protection? Or help?" She said, not quite sure why Crow sent her here.
"Are you a rouge mutt?"
"Yes, but I'm never going to change ge again." She said, voice hard.
"Why?"
"It's not safe."
"You realise that you'll die if you don't change to." The female said.
"....oh."
