chapter 26, Favourites🃏

Raven lay on the bed, unable to sleep. He left her here and the three other wolves had strolled in. They glanced at her, one let out a growl and then they went to their cages.
Two fell asleep, one stayed awake watching her. 
Raven rubbed her stomach, back and forth. She felt the baby kick. Lifting her shirt she stared at it. Her stomach seemed to pulse under her hands. She smiled and glanced at the cages. One cage was empty.
The bed dipped and a woman sat beside at her.
"How far along are you?" She asked.
"About months... Give or take."
"Is the father..."
"Dead?" Raven asked, watching her stomach pulse.
"Yes."
"Nope. He's still alive. I had him tortured but a vampire helped him escape from Sebastion. I wanted him to see his kid before I killed him."
"Why would you kill your mate?"
"He's not my mate. I got pregnant when I was 16, by force. In a forest."
"You were raped?" She seemed to be disgusted.
Raven stayed silent, the woman took that as a yes.
"Are you keeping the baby... Oh... Is Master letting you keep it?"
"He said.... If it was a girl."
"He seems to like girls."
"So... Were you...."
"Taken?"
"Yeah."
"Yep. From my farm... I was with my brother at the time. He was a wolf to, but had been in a fight with a pack. We were strays, not pure."
"Oh. I'm a wolf to."
"I know. I can smell it. You're also a pure one."
"Yeah. A lot of good that's done me."
"What do you mean? If I was a pure one none of this would've happened."
"My pack.... Tortured me and tried to kill me. All because I killed a human."
"Well if you killed someone..."
"My wolf did it. It was my first change."
"How many times have you changed?"
"Since my first?"
"Yeah."
"About... Five times."
"No wonder you can't control it."
"Yeah, it keeps me alive though."
"I guess. I'm... Cherry."
"Um... Raven."
"That's not your name silly."
Raven looked at her, her eyes blank. Then they held a small spark of anger. "Blue."
Cherry smiled. "We'll get out of here. I promise."
"Alright."
Cherry hopped off the bed and went to her cage, swiftly changing into her wolf form. Her red fur seemed black in the room.
Her yellow eyes looked at Raven.
"Night." Raven whispered. Cherry's wolf nodded.

Raven stared at her stomach.  Her child had stopped kicking. She sighed. She lay her head on the pillow. Why was she allowed on the bed and not sleeping in a cage? 
She heard the door open, and she turned her head. The man who wore the black cloak walked in. He looked at her, meeting her eyes.
"Can't sleep?" He asked, as he slid into the bed beside her.
She stayed silent and watched him.
"Don't worry Blue. You'll be taken care of here. I was thinking... I'll let you keep your baby on one condition, when Sebastion comes. Which he will. I want you to kill him. If you don't and you do get rescued I will find you and your baby will die."
"You'll kill my baby if I don't kill the only one who's really helped me? This baby isn't wanted. Why would I care?" Raven asked, putting on a brave mask.
"A few hours ago..."
"I was screaming lies. I was raped. Why would I keep the thing?" She asked.
"Good point." He layed beside her, pulling her close. "So you wouldn't mind me laying on your stomach? It would probably kill the baby... But if you don't care..." He moved closer about to lay on her stomach.
"Why arnt I in a cage to?" She asked.
He pulled back and looked at her. "Do you want to be? I thought you'd like a bed more."
"I do.... Just why are my sister's in the cages. "
"Because.... They aren't my favoirites."
Little did they know that the eldest pet, the one who felt the most territorial about their master heard. Resentment and hate grew.
I'll kill her. I'll kill her and that parasite inside her. Bluebell though to herself.
She stayed awake watching the two.
She noted that the She-wolf seemed to be uncomfortable around the master. Maybe I won't kill her... I'll just make her.... Suffer.
She closed her eyes, ingnoring the words coming from the master. They were the same words he told her. Only... He ment them to me. She thought. Desperately trying to change her thinking. He loves you the most. He just wants her to be comfortable. That's all. You'll always be his favourite. Always.
She fell asleep.
