My Best Friend, Liam Payne?

*18 years old*

"Gabby! Wake your ass up! We got to get to work!" my best friend Laura shouted. It's been 5 years since I've last seen Liam, and what do you know? He's in a world famous boy band, one direction.

"I'm coming!" I shouted back, rolling over and out of the heavenly object that is a bed. I quickly got changed into my star buck's uniform. And rushed to the kitchen, picking up my toast that Laura had left, she's always pestering me about eating breakfast. I ran out the door, to Laura who was waiting in the driver's seat of my car.

Laura was silent, concentrating on the road, so I was left to my own thoughts. Liam had promised me he would call and Skype and he did, but when he went on the xfactor that all changed. I sighed.

"What's wrong?" Laura asked

"Nothing" I answered which earned me a 'don't give me that bull' look from Laura, I just turned and looked out the window. She decided to leave it. My thoughts turned to those of how I met Laura.

*FLASHBACK*

"Hi. I'm Laura." A blonde girl said.

"Cool." I answered. I was being very anti-social, I missed home so much.

"Are you going to tell me your name or am I going to have to bribe you with nutella, everyone loves nutella" she said to me whilst shoving a nutella sandwich in front of me. I grinned, took the sandwich and took a couple of bites.

"So...?" she asked.

"Gabby, my names Gabby"

*END OF FLASH BACK*

I smiled at the thought and realised we were nearly at work. Laura pulled into star bucks car park and stopped; we both got out and walked in. Laura went to her station, where people ordered and I went to mine, and started getting orders. I heard Laura squeal and I turned my attention to her. She dragged me over to her counter and there was a guy there, wearing a black hoodie and sunnies.

"You're Liam Payne aren't you?" Laura asked excited, he took of his sunglasses. Revealing those big brown eyes that I had missed so much.

"Please not too loud, no fans, no fans" he begged.

Laura turned to me winked and said "okay but can you sign Gabby's shirt? She's a big fan."

I'm going to kill that girl.

His attention turned to me and his eyes widened, he obviously recognised me.

"Gabby? Gabby Murray? Is that you?" he asked shocked

"Yeah... hi Liam" I replied

"You two know each other?" Laura asked faking shock. I glared at her.

"Umm yeah... can I have a hot chocolate?" he asked. Laura went to work on that as I went around the counter to talk to him.

"How have you been?" I asked after a couple of seconds of awkwardness.

"Pretty good, you?" his eyes stared deep into my own and I couldn't help the small blush that crept onto my cheeks.

"I've been alright."

"One hot chocolate!" Laura called.

"Oh that's mine." He said and looked away, once he got his hot chocolate he walked back towards me.

"I've got to get back to work." I told him sadly.

"Oh..." he said looking crestfallen. I turned away and started walking back to my counter when someone grabbed my arm. I spun around, right into Liam's chest.

"S-Sorry" I stuttered, regaining my balance.

"Umm Gabby, when do you get off work?" he asked.

"I get off at 5"

"Oh well can I have your phone number so we can catch up some time?" he asked nervously.

"Sure!" I smiled and handed him my phone, he tapped away and then handed it back.

"Well I better get going then" he said and surprisingly pulled me into a hug.

"Bye!" I called after him as he walked out. I went back to work and Laura just smiled at me evilly.

"Shut up!" I said.

"Did you get his number?" She asked ignoring my comment.

"Yes, now get back to work!" I scolded, she laughed but obeyed.
