My Best Friend, Liam Payne?

*Gabby’s POV*

“Left foot, blue” I announced. Zayn lost his balance and toppled over, causing all of them to fall over too. Liam and I burst into laughter as Louis spilled what was left of the popcorn on top of all of them.

“har-har very funny.” Harry said after we had finally calmed down, trying unsuccessfully to get the popcorn out of his curls. Liam and I gave each other a look and burst into another fit of laughter.  We were practically rolling on the floor. My sides ached but I didn’t care, it was just too funny.

“Okay...okay...” Liam panted trying to control his laughter.

“C’mon Gabs, lets go home, it’s late.” Laura said.

“Yes mother.” I replied. She rolled her eyes at me. I hugged all of the guys and Alex to, I had a feeling we were going to be great friends. Laura finished hugging Louis just as I was about to leave.

“Let’s go!” I called to her.

“Yeah coming!” she said as she grabbed her phone. We walked out and to my car.

“So are Liam and you together or what?” Laura asked me. I didn’t answer her. “Gabs why are you crying?”

I quickly wiped away the tears that had started to roll down my cheeks. We pulled up at our apartment and Laura cut the engine. Laura put her arm around me as we walked into our apartment. I plopped down on our couch and sighed, Laura sat down next to me.

“Want to talk about it?”  she asked. I nodded.

“So, I thought he would ask you out, you know cause he kissed you?” Laura began, trying to get me to finish.

“When we went to the kitchen...he told me that the kiss didn’t mean anything...he asked if we could just be friends...” I told her.

“Oh... Gabs, you deserve better!” Laura comforted.

“Yeah, yeah I’m going to bed, night Laura.”

“Goodnight.” She replied as I stood up and walked to my room. My walls were a nice purple colour that matched my bed sheets. I sighed as I fell on top of my bed, I didn’t even bother getting changed.

“Oi, Gabby, come on, we have a free day today.” Laura told me, shaking me softly. I groaned.

“Really?” I asked her rubbing my eyes groggily.

“Yes really! Now come on, I made you breakfast," she grinned at me.

“Why are you such a morning person?” I asked her. She was always so happy in the morning, when I was...well, not so happy. She just shrugged at me and skipped happily out of my room. I rolled out of bed. My hair was probably a mess and when I looked into the mirror of my bathroom my fears were proven correct. I brushed through the waves of brown hair, wincing slightly as i pulled on it, trying to get the knots out.  After that i hopped into the shower. Letting the water droplets run down my face as i thought about all that at happened this week.

I met up with a long lost friend; my best friend fell in love with one of his mates. I fell in love with him. He kissed me, and then told me that it didn’t matter. I sighed, what joy my life is. I got out of the shower and dried off, then wrapping my towel around me, I brushed my teeth.  I got changed into a white top, denim shorts and white sandals. My hair hung in curls around my face, framing it. I decided to not put on makeup, personally, I hated it. I only wore it when I went out on dates or parties.

“Hey, you ready?” Laura called from down in the kitchen. 

“Yeah.” I said as i walked into kitchen, the smell of pancakes was wafting around.  “You made pancakes?” i asked her.

“Yes, now come here and eat them before I do.” She threatened. I quickly rushed forward and grabbed my plate. I scarfed them down, burning my tongue in the process.

“Ow ow, that’s hot!” I said fanning my tongue.

“No shit Sherlock.” Laura rolled her eyes at me.  I just glared at her until her phone buzzed.

“Hello?” she said as she answered the phone. i heard a muffled reply, i gave up on trying to hear the other end of the conversation, instead i drank cold water to cool down my tongue, i can be so dumb sometimes...

“Yeah sure we are free today.” Laura told the mystery person on the other end of the phone. “Okay Gabby and I will be there...yeah? Really? I thought that too...hmm okay, bye Lou see you soon. “She said before hanging up.

“Why was Louis calling you?”

“Oh all the boys are going to the park. They want us to join”

“Will Alex be there?” i questioned

“Nah, Zayn and Alex are going on a date then they are meeting us back at their apartments.”  She answered.

“Oh...” I hesitated slightly “what about Liam?”

“He’s going to be...oh gabby you don’t have to go if you don’t want to” she said quickly.

“No, no I’m fine I’ll go” I told her. Lying through my teeth, I was probably not going to be fine... she hesitated but gave up.

“Okay we will leave in ten, just let me get ready” she told me walking out of the kitchen.  I nodded at her. That was one of the things I loved about Laura, she was like me, we both get ready in no time, not taking an hour as some other girls do.

“I’m back!” Laura announced as she walked back in, she wore some white denim shorts and a blue top, with matching blue sandals. I smiled at her as we headed off to the car.

Today was going to be fun... I hope.

I'm sorry, it's short, dont hate me :( i'm trying to write longer chapters but i think this one needed to finish where it did. i know im terrible, but it will get better. promise! :)
