Just a kiss?

*Gabby's POV*

"Well..." she began.

"WHAT?!" I yelled.

"I...um...he...um" she mumbled. Alex just watched us with and amused expression on her face.

"Just spit it out!"

"Well... when we were watching toy story... he asked me if I liked carrots..." she trailed off

"And?" I demanded. Rolling my eyes a little at the carrots bit.

"I said yes... and he asked if I would do him the great honour of being his carrot queen...? So I guess he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes so..." Laura trailed off again. I looked at Laura then to Alex then back to Laura. I squealed loudly. Laura and Alex covered their ears, Alex laughed as Laura just shook her head at me.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER?! I SHIP LAURIS!" I exclaimed.

"You don't ship Zalex?" Alex asked me faking hurt.

"Of course I ship Zalex, I ship Zalex and Lauris!" I said as I flung my arms around her, she laughed. We walked back to her car, this time chatting about how cute Louis was when he asked out Laura. We all got in and Laura got shotgun again. We were about 5 minutes from home when Laura suddenly asked.

"Lauris?" I thought about it for a while before I answered her.

"Yeah, it was the only thing I could come up with in such a short time." She just nodded her head at me and continued chatting with Alex. I sat down in the back and thought about Liam... did he really like me? Or was it just heat of the moment... I mean the day before yesterday was the first day we saw each other for the first time in years, could feelings really spring up after all that time? Or was it there all along or not there at all. I shook my head to let my insecurities out of my mind. I sighed, why must my stomach erupt in butterflies when he's near me... why? Why? Why?

We pulled up into the boys' complex and we all got out. I really didn't feel like seeing Liam, he makes me put so much unnecessary thoughts into my head. Louis ran up to Laura and planted a kiss on her lips, she blushed and looked down to the ground. Confusion spread across Niall's, Liam's and Harry's faces. Zayn was busy snogging Alex to notice anything. I sprinted over to them and explained

"Louis asked Laura to be his girlfriend yesterday."

"Ohhhhh" they all said as realisation dawned on them. They then began to yell things at them. I shook my head, went inside and plopped on their couch. Niall was the first to return inside; he sat down on the couch and stretched his legs over me. He then leaned back and made himself comfortable, harry followed, sitting on the other side of me, we were pretty squished but comfortable. Liam came in and sat on the floor in front of our couch, he tried to make eye contact with me but I kept looking away, I saw a look of hurt flash in his eyes and I immediately felt guilty, but i just couldn't face him, I knew he didn't like me like that, it was just a heat of the moment thing. The couples followed Liam; the boys had their arm around their girlfriend's waists they were all chatting. I sighed; I wish I had something like that. Harry looked at me weirdly. I shrugged.

"I'm hungry!" Niall complained.

"You just ate Nialler" Liam told him.

"I'm still hungry!" Niall groaned. He then turned to me, "Will you make me food Gabby, please?" he pleaded, looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

"No...Come on! Don't do the puppy dog eyes...ugh fine I'll do It." he just grinned at me and lifted his legs up so I could get out.

"I'll help!" Liam volunteered, oh please no.

"It's fine." I told him.

"No I'll help." He said walking to the kitchen, I sighed but followed. When I walked in he was already making popcorn.

"Nice and healthy." I commented.

"Gabby..." he started. My heart shattered when his next words reached my ears.

*Liam's POV*

"Gabby..." I began, I really didn't want to do this, I loved her, but the feeling obviously wasn't mutual, she had been avoiding me all day. "I...um, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for you know, last night."

"You're sorry?" she asked, looking at me confused.

"For kissing you." I stated and realisation dawned on her face.

"Oh" she said. It was silent and I realised that was the only answer I would get.

"Yeah, I mean, it was just heat of the moment right?" I asked her uncertainly. She nodded, so she felt like that, damn. "I...umm... I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship?" I asked nervously, she was silent, processing what I said. I was beginning to get worried.

"Nah, it was just a kiss right?" she smiled at me.

"Yeah," the microwave dinged signalling the popcorn was done. I turned around and put it all in bowls, I gave 2 bowls to her and I carried the other 2. We walked back in to find the lads setting up twister...oh lord.

"Twister?" Gabby questioned. The lads all looked up and nodded.

"I'll spin" Gabby and I said at the same time. We both looked up at each other. Her green eyes sparkled against the light. I looked away quickly.

"We can both spin," she smiled. I just nodded, not trusting myself to speak. Louis passed me the spinner and Gabby and I both sat on the couch.

"Right foot, red" I announced after I span. I passed it to Gabby as the lads, Laura and Alex shuffled around, getting their foot onto a red circle. I felt a shock of electricity run up my arm as our hands brushed. She grinned at me, obviously not feeling anything.

"Left hand, yellow." More shuffles as they all moved to put their hand on yellow. She passed it back and more electricity ran through me. Damn, this girl...

*Authors Note*

Really short crappy chapter im so sorry :( Also with their house its a building and all the boys live in it, Lou and Harry live in one of the "apartments" which has two rooms, they also have the biggest lounge area, which is why the boys are over there all the time. Zayn and Niall live together with basically the same thing as Lou and Harry's but their kitchen is bigger. Liam lives by himself, he still has 2 bedrooms and his living area and kitchen are the smallest. To get outside there are a couple of steps. So yeah just cause i thought it might confuse you guys...also i apologise for any wrong facts.
