The said person (bogzie) had mentioned that I should do a rant on One Direction. I said that I really wanted to, but I didn't want to come under a bashing from 1D fans or something.

But looking through 1D fan fiction, they've really given me a reason to rant on.

I really have nothing against one direction. As a lover of music and aspiring film composer, I try to appreciate different kinds of music and stuff. And maybe, they've got one or two songs that aren't too bad.

Lol, did I just admit that.

So the point of this stupid introduction is that please don't kill me 1D fans I beg you...if I say anything insulting.

But now that I think about it, I've hated on Harry Styles in some of the other rants, haven't I.

Meh, whatever.

Back to the point.

So when he mentioned that I should do a rant on 1D fan fiction, I decided to look through some of the books in that category to build up an actual and logical argument. I could potentially have a go at how they blindly idolize them, and how it's stupid, but that's what they've chosen to do with their lives.

So, whatever.

But, I saw too many of these titles in the section:

Kidnapped by One Direction

One Direction Kidnapped me!

Bandnapped by 1D!

Harry Style's Sex Slave

The more I scrolled down, the more vulgar it got. Seeing 12 year old girls writing their '1D fantasies' and how they would love to be r*ped by Zayn Malik is just...what's the word?

Sad?

Depressing?

Wrong?

Sad and Depressingly Wrong?

First of all, do you know what kidnapping is?
It's holding someone against their will.

What r*pe is?
It's forcing someone to *cough cough cough cough* against their will.

THESE ARE IMMORAL THINGS PEOPLE THEY ARE IMMORAL AND AGAINST THE LAW FOR THAT MATTER.

You know what these words mean, yet you manage to turn them around and make them seem so fucking glamorous, while in fact, it's no joke.

So I understand that you feel that Louis* is perfect, love, but if you dream about him r*ping you? That's so wrong, on so many levels.

*Am I the only one who thinks Louis Tomlinson is like the most irrelevant member of One Direction? Lol like seriously, he's so insignificant.

Have you met someone who's been kidnapped before? Been r*ped before?

Tell me, are they fucking smiling? Are they?

Kidnap and r*pe are NOT JOKES, they are serious offenses - yet here you are, thinking it's perfectly okay JUST BECAUSE your so-called SOULMATE is doing it to you.

I guess, I've written up to this far without actually reading these books. Hold on, give me a few minutes, I'll go and read them so I can see if I'm wrong in what I'm saying.

I couldn't do it. I honestly couldn't.

I tried, but I couldn't.

They're all jokes, all of them. I'm sorry but, yea. Making it seem so light and jokey that they got fucking KIDNAPPED?

Why do some of them even have so many reads? Ughhhhh so frustrating what world do I live in right now

And, funny thing is, these are the EXACT same girls who were all over the rest of the Internet promoting the hashtag:

#BringBackOurGirls

Remember that? The last bandwagon, where everyone thought that they could save over 200 girls who were kidnapped in Nigeria by simply putting that hashtag on their photos/Facebook posts/ tumblr/twitter?

(That's another thing that annoys me, people who feel like they're saving the world by posting depressing pictures and tagging them with hashtags? And most of the time, they know nothing of what is going on? Yea. I hate that.)

Sorry, got a little carried away.

Summary of point:

These girls who suggest that it's okay to be kidnapped and r*ped by 1D are the same ones that are infuriated (or pretend to be) when they hear of girls being kidnapped and r*ped in real life.

That's not right.

And another thing is that in these books, the authors make the protagonist all innocent and either HATE 1D or have no knowledge of their existence before they are abducted, that is.

That's so stupid.

So, so stupid because of course, that will be the penultimate reason why one of the members will fall for them - case and point? The most classic line:

'You're the only one who doesn't treat my like I'm a celebrity. You treat me like a normal person, and I love that about you.'

Bla, bla, blaaa. Such bullshit.

The truth is, if it was actually you? Like the real you (and not the fictional character you make in the book who is so darn similar to you it's uncanny)? You'd literally have a fit or something. And then latch onto one of them, until they'd have to call their security guards on you.

(Déjà vu, anyone? Back in around 2001, with MJ?)

But because you'd do that in real life, you reinvent yourself in a book where you pretend to know nothing of your favourite band, and then by luck, they decide to abduct you, and you gain Stockholm Syndrome.

Look it up.

You know what? I can't even call it that anymore. It's just pure madness, pure insanity.

Bottom line, kidnap and r*pe are no jokes. They are wrong. So stop glamourising them. Stop fucking making it seem like it's so amazing because 1D did it to you.

Btw, I admit, I do have a favourite 1D member. Lol. Like as much as I don't like them, I actually have a fave.
