A Gift For You

Because it's Christmas, I kind of thought
That I'd give you a present, something to say 'thank you'
So while I munched on some good chicken I got
I thought and thought of what to do for you.

I thought of writing a song to sing,
To play the guitar, for you to hear.
I wish I could bring you all little nice things
But I can't teleport, o my, o dear.

So I settled for this weird-ass poem (it's so messed)
With shady, predictable rhymes and four-lined verse
Shakespeare or Wordsworth wouldn't be too impressed
Hope it doesn't scar you (or we'll need a nurse).

Okay, my rhymes are so shit
Let me change the scheme, so it can fit.
Is this one good, does it flow a bit better?
Dammit guys, I should've written a letter.

It's been the best year on Wattpad for me
Ranting about why it drives me all crazy.
Agony aunt, a book on finding love...
I really hope you've enjoyed all of the above!

We've all had our moments, from fighting over dots
To arghie291's sweet comments, eightyone81's great thoughts.
To hating One Direction, to loving Harry's hair (oh, bless)
To my random-ass hashtags...#Idigress.

I think even a poem like this can't begin to say
How much you make my life each and every day
Without you, I wouldn't have come this far,
So raise your glasses, let's toast to GAAAHHH

Sorry, I just had to put that word in
It's kind of catching on, please don't throw it in the bin!
The irrelevancy of that line is so bad
(At least it's more relevant than the wattpad Mum and Dad).

Lol fine, I'm about to end this soon, okay
But I haven't mentioned the bad boy and his play
To the legendary good (prude) girl,
What did he get you for Christmas - oh, is that a pearl?

It's been an amazing year, thank you 2014!
