“I’ll be placing Aaron and my number on the fridge, Just in case for emergencies” Mom took a pen and a scrap piece of paper, scribbling on it. “We wouldn’t want another performance of what happened before.”
“That was just once!” I argued with her, shoving a spoonful of cereal to my mouth. “And besides, I’ve got my mad skills with me.”
“Mad skills my ass.”I heard Aaron mutter under his breath but loud enough for everyone to hear. Bad move bro.
“Language Aaron.” My mom said sternly. She has this weird hatred to colorful words. But once, I caught her saying three colorful words and I still haunt her about it.
Aaron opened his mouth to say something to defend himself but closed it again. He knew he could win with mom.
“You have no skills to start with.” Aaron scoffed at me. “I have mad skills.”
“No you don’t.” I rolled y eyes. “Want a punch?”
“No.”
“Weakling.”
“Am not!”
“Then let me punch you!”
“No.”
“Would you two please shut up?” my mom’s voice echoed through the whole kitchen.
We got her annoyed! It’s a natural talent both Aaron and I posses and unfortunately for mom, we’re very good at it.
“I need a phone.” I said out of the blue. I really do. I left mine back at out old home. Okay, so I didn’t really leave it there, I lost it. That’s right, it’s lost.
“What about your old one?” Aaron asked.
“I left it back at the old house.” I gave a sheepish grin.
“Pssh, she lost it.” My mom, a loving and supporting mother.
“What an irresponsible little girl.” Aaron shook his head disapprovingly.
“Whatever.” I stood up and washed the dishes.
After washing, I went out to the living room scared out of my guts when Aaron threw my bag at me.
“What’s this?”
“We’regoing out.”
“Where? Why? I’m feeling lazy today!”
So it was already a Saturday and I planned on pigging out the whole day but Aaron just has to ruin it.
“You want a phone or not?” he cocked an eyebrow at me. I nodded my head vigorously. “Then let’s go.”
We went out and I quickly climbed in his car it took about ten minutes before we arrived at the mall. Hew parked and went out so I followed him suit. The mall was huge; most malls are like that anyways.
After picking out an iphone and a sim card, we left the store. There were so many people there that at one glance Aaron were there and then he’s not.
Wait, he gone?! Shit.
You’re probably thinking I can just call him right? Wrong. I didn’t any contacts besides the emergency and the sim company. That sucks, I know. And one more problem: I don’t know this place, how to go home and I don’t have money with me. Scratch that, I have three huge problems.
Walked and walked, hoping to fine him or anyone I know. But luck wasn’t with me today- was it ever on my side? No, it was never on my side.
I bit my bottom lip, I wasn’t going to cry but tears slowly and ever so painstakingly filled my eyes. I shook my head, no, not here.
