It’s been almost a week since the incident at home, six days to be exact. And I’m in his classroom after classes serving detention, fiddling with my pen dying to finish my essay for English.
I’m not stupid. I’ve been avoiding him at all costs for the entire six days and I’m proud to say it worked, until later today. It was hard avoiding your good looking teacher who was keen on talking with you.
So this happened later today that got me sitting here, my head hurting with all this English essay crap. Let’s start from lunch time which was the start of my very productive day.
I sat on the table with Gail, Allison and Dylan. You can scratch Dylan and Allison out since they were busy flirting with each other.
“I’m sorry guys.” I started. I really am.
“For what?” Gail asked confused.
“For being a total bitch.” I replied sulking on my seat, tossing and turning the pasta in front of me. I just lost my appetite.
“You’re not a bitch.” Allison said, looking at me, leaning her head on Dylan’s shoulder.
“I am.” I nodded, dropping the fork on the plate and pushing it away from me. “I’ve been blowing you guys off.”
“Don’t bother about that.” Gail shrugged it off and smiled. “It’s alright.”
“It’s not.” I shook my head still feeling guilty like hell. “What about we go to my house tomorrow and watch a movie or go out or something like that.”
“Good idea.” Allison said.
“Yeah, I’ve never been to your house.” Dylan said and I just realized that too. No one else that I know went to my house except for Mr. West. Him again. I really need to take him off my mind.
“In fact none of us have.” Gail corrected him.
“So it’s settled then?”
“Yup!”
“Alright then.” I said standing up. “Bring movies cause I don’t really have some at home.”
They nodded and I stood up grabbing my food tray and tipping it all in the trash bin. I went to the door before bumping in to a guy’s chest. I was sure it was a guy’s because one- it was wide, two- it was hard and well built and three- it definitely had no boobs.
“Sorry there.” The guy said. I looked up, rubbing my nose which was probably going to break soon. It was Mr. West.
I twisted my heel as fast I could when I realized it was him and started walking away.
“Kate, Kate!” I heard him cry as I kept on walking until he grabbed my arm and turned me around. The hallways were pretty much empty since it was lunch and the cafeteria was packed.
“We need to talk.”
I looked up at him, why was he so tall? I sighed, “We both know I have nothing to say.”
“Kate-”
He was interrupted by the bell.
“Look Mr. West. It’s already time and I do not want to be late for your class.”
“Be late all you want Kate, just listen to me.”
“Can’t risk that for my grades Mr. West.” I shook my head and walked away from him and to the science wing where his classroom was located which happened to be my next class. I didn’t have double chemistry today, thank heavens.
