The video feed ends, and Banner looks at the group. Kelly sat quietly beside Daniel who was sitting beside Steve. Natasha sat at the table near them as she'd been watching the video too.
"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Banner asks.
"Loki's gonna drag this out." Steve says, "So, Thor, what's his play?"
"He has an army called the Chitauri." Kali says.
"They're not of Asgard, nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in turn, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor explains.
"An army? From outer space." Steve says.
"So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Banner says.
"Selvig?" Thor asks.
"He's an astrophysicist." Banner says.
"He's a friend." Kali says.
"Loki has him under some king of spell, along with one of ours." Natasha says.
"I want to know why Loki let us take him." Steve says, "He's not leading an army from here."
"Maybe there's something here that he needs?" Kelly asks.
"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him." Banner says.
"Have care how you speak." Thor says, "Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother."
"He killed 80 people in two days." Natasha says.
"He's adopted." Kali says, and Kelly looks over at Kali.
"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium... What do they need the iridium for?" Banner asks.
"It's a stabilizing agent. I'm just saying, pick a weekend. I'll fly you to Portland. Keep love alive." Tony says walking into the area with Coulson. After yelling at Kelly, he'd left the room to cool down.
"What does that mean?" Kelly asks.
"It means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at SHIELD. No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing." Tony says and lightly hitting Thor's arm in encouragement. Kali raises an eyebrow as Thor looks at Tony.
"Does he wish to get hit?" Kali asks.
"Also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long, as Loki wants. Raise the mizzenmast. Jib the topsails. THAT MAN IS PLAYING GALAGA!" Tony says pointing to a guy, "He thought we wouldn't notice, but we did." Tony looks at all the screens and place one hand on his eye.
"How does Fury even see these?" Tony asks.
"He turns." Assistant Director Maria Hill says.
"Sounds exhausting." Tony says, "The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The only major component he still needs is a power source of high-energy density. Something to kick-start the Cube."
"When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" Hill asks.
"Last night." Tony says, "The packet, Selvig's notes, the extraction theory papers. Am I the only on who did the reading?"
"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Steve asks.
"He would have to heat the cute to 120-million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier." Banner says.
