[A Few Months Later 2011 still Daniel is 13 {He's 2 Years Older Than Kelly}]
Daniel Rogers was enjoying being that... Daniel Rogers. Dad and him trained a lot but Daniel was still unable to participate in battles. He hoped one of these days he'd be able to or at least prove to Steve that he was responsible enough.
A guy is shown running early in the morning. Another man followed by a teen runs up from behind him.
"On your left." Steve says. Daniel grins as he and Steven runs passed him. He's shown at a different location and Steve and Daniel come up behind him once again.
"On your left." Steve says once again.
"Uh-huh. On my left. Got it." The man says. He's shown at another location as the sun had gotten higher in the sky. Steve and Daniel once again catch up to him.
"Don't say it. Don't you say it." The man says.
"On your left." Daniel says instead of Steve and the two laugh as they run by.
"Come on!" The man says trying to run faster. He gives up and heads over to rest.
"Need a medic?" Steve asks as he comes over to the guy. The guy laughs and Daniel takes a deep breath.
"I need a new set of lungs." The guy says, "Dude... you two just ran, like, 13 miles in 30 minutes."
"I guess I got a late start." Steve says.
"Really? You should be ashamed of yourself." The guy says, "You should take another lap. You just did, didn't you?"
"What unit you with?" Daniel asks.
"58th Pararescue." The guy says, "But now I'm working down at the VA. Sam Wilson." He holds out his hand.
"Steve Rogers." Steve says and helps Sam up.
"I kind of put that together." Sam says, "Must have freaked you out, coming home after the whole defrosting thing."
"It takes some getting used to. But I had Daniel here to help me out." Steve says placing his hand on Daniel's shoulder, "My adopted son, Daniel Rogers."
"Nice to meet you kid." Sam says.
"It's good to meet you, Sam." Steve says.
"It's your bed right?" Sam asks.
"What's that?" Steve asks.
"Your bed, it's too soft and the kid is having night terrors of his past." Sam says.
"How did you...?" Daniel asks. Sam gives Steve some advice and gives Daniel an idea on how to chase away the night terrors. Steve writes it down for both of them and then his phone goes off.
"All right, Sam, duty calls." Steve says.
"Thanks for the run." Sam says.
"If that's what you want to call running." Daniel says.
"Oh, that's how it is?" Sama asks and Steve and Daniel laugh.
"Oh, that's how it is." Steve says.
"Okay." Sam says and the three laugh, "Anytime you want to stop by the VA, make me look awesome in front of the girl at the front desk, just let me know."
