Chapter 36: "First Kiss!"

Tony helps Kelly fully upgrade her suit and it fits her body better. She was actually able to stand her ground against Vision who agreed to be her sparring partner.

"Not bad, Kelly." Tony says.

"Thanks. The upgrades are amazing. Now I don't have to be just up close." Kelly says.

"And you have better protection." Tony says.

"Her fighting style is a bit shocked too. Every time I had her pattern down, she suddenly changed it up." Vision says.

"That's because I know how you think Vision." Kelly says.

"I'm not sure you do." Vision says.

"You miss Wanda." Kelly says.

"I... I don't understand feelings of missing someone." Vision says and Kelly giggles.

"Hey, if you're done, let's go get a bite to eat." Tony says.

"I'm starving. Thanks for the sparring, Vision." Kelly says and she and Tony fly away in their suits. Everyone began calling Kelly by Iron Legacy since she was seen with Iron Man a lot. She had to reminding them that she was just Legacy. Her suit wasn't made of Iron really. She'd gone with the color purple as well. Tony and Kelly eat and laugh about their times teasing Happy after Happy calls Tony. Kelly returns to school a few days later and Ned waves to her.

"Hey, what's up with you and Peter?" Ned asks.

"Huh? What?" Kelly asks.

"Well, you two skip detention together and then you vanish for a few days. I asked him about it, but he said you haven't been talking to him." Ned says.

"I... don't think he wants to be my friend anymore." Kelly says as she looks down.

"Wait, why?" Ned asks, "Because he lost the Stark Internship?"

"Kind of yeah. He thinks I don't believe in him when... I'm one of the only ones who always has. I just... I gotta go." Kelly says as she spots Peter coming towards them. She walks away. The entire day, Kelly sat away from Peter and Ned.

[Lunch]

"Dude, why aren't you guys friends?" Ned asks Peter.

"Not... what?" Peter asks, "When have we not been friends?"

"She seems to think that because you lost the Stark Internship and because you think she doesn't believe in you that you don't want to be her friend." Ned says.

"I... no, that's not true." Peter says.

"Ask her to Homecoming." Ned says.

"I... sorta kind of asked Liz already." Peter says.

"And what did Liz say?" Ned asks.

"Yes." Peter says.

"Are you sure you should go?" Ned asks.

"What do you mean?" Peter asks.

"He means because you're in love with Kelly." MJ says.

"In love? I'm not... I'm not in love with Kelly." Peter says and the subject changes and Peter looks over to where Kelly was sitting. She was surrounded by people who wanted to be her friends because she was Tony Stark's daughter. But Peter had already asked Liz to Homecoming. Peter and Kelly's eyes meet before she looks down sadly. A deep feeling hit Peter as he wasn't one hundred sure where it came from.
