Chapter 46: The Infinity Stones!

[New York 2012]

Kylie takes a deep breath as they come through and everyone looks at her. The city was being attacked by the Chitauri. She suddenly gets hit with the wave of feelings from the loss of her deceased best friend. She gulps and she looks at Steve with a nod that she was okay.

"Okay, we all have our assignments, two stones up town one stone down. Stay low keep an eye on the clock." Steve says and they watch the past Hulk rip through aliens and Kylie looks at Banner.

"Damn, you were a raging dick." Kylie says.

"That's embarrassing." Banner says.

"Kylie, you're with Banner since he's going downtown." Steve says.

"Right." Kylie says before she sighs, "Man I wish I had the cloak I could get there faster. I'm sure dropping in with my usual way would... cause trouble."

"Yeah." Steve says.

"Better not." Banner says after he unenthusiastically destroy some things. He picks Kylie up and she holds onto his arm as he carries her away.

They head over to the sanctum and once they arrive, Banner sets Kylie down. Kylie senses something and she summons her staff as she turns to look. Her eyes widen when she find a woman standing off to the side in an old sorcerer outfit. Banner looks at Kylie and the then woman as the two stare at one another.

"Uh... You okay?" Banner asks.

"Mom." Kylie says.

"Mom? As in yours?" Banner asks.

"You're not supposed to be here." The Ancient One says.

"We were looking for Stephen." Kylie says.

"You're about five years too early. Really, did he not tell you when he learned magic?" The Ancient One says, "He's twenty blocks that way performing surgery."

"No, he didn't. The only thing I've learned is that you teach him and that I'm your daughter." Kylie says.

"My how you've grown." The Ancient One says.

"If you're here in 2012 it means that I lived only three blocks away from you." Kylie says, "Did you know me back in this time?"

"I've checked up on you. Saw that you were a growing girl." The Ancient One says.

"Who was my father? Is he still alive?" Kylie asks.

"No, unfortunately he's not but from what I can gather... he was a visitor of this world with powerful magical abilities. It's what drew us together." The Ancient One says.

"Why did you give me up?" Kylie asks.

"If I had raised you, then there would been a slight chance that you would have never met Stephen." The Ancient One says.

"No, I would have met him sooner." Kylie says.

"No, you see, when you were born, I glimpsed two futures, one where I raise you in magic and you die before you meet Stephen and one where I don't and you life your life before meeting him." The Ancient One says, "I saw all the great things you will achieve at Stephen's side."

"Did you see his death?!" Kylie yells.

"Kylie..." Banner says.

"I did not. I could only see your future and your potential death and I couldn't allow that to happen. What is it that you two need?" The Ancient One asks, "Other than to kiss a man who doesn't even know you yet?"
